Some of the winners (I think - correct me if i'm wrong) Best Overall - Mahopac Falls 2nd Best Overall - Mahopac Best Tanker - Lake Carmel Best Firematic Colorguard - Somers Best in Line 30 and up - Croton Falls? Having brain-farts about the rest - I know Put Valley and Put Lake won a few here and there, and I think Lake Carmel and Mahopac Falls won Best and 2nd Best Ladies Auxillaries.

The guy who did my latest tattoo had them. I asked him how he liked them - he said they felt and "performed" just like the blue and purple ones, he just liked the color better.

Initial cutoff is tomorrow (7/25)

Hey ONLOCATION - this one's for you!!
-
Nah - for Pleasantville, I'd think you'd want the Coldstone truck. After all, they are right accross from your firehouse
-
Overtime is great - but I only like it when its VOLUNTARY!!! - 4 of my last 6 shifts I've gotten FORCED an extra 4-6 hours each!!!!
-
When I was up in Lake George for the convention, I went with a few friends to take pictures of the LGFD rigs at the firehouse. Coincidently, this truck happened to be accross the street. The ideas started going through my head, and a few weeks later, out comes the finished product. BMFD - Please don't take any offense - Just a little gag - I actually think the white trucks look nice - a hell of a lot better than our "Green" Engine 120!!

Damn, I think you change cars more than I change underwear!

I'm at 244 and i haven't heard squat

What's the registration fee, and the cut-off time to enter your car? If i can make it up there in time, i might enter the buff-mobile again this year.

Ok, so the topic here has been about the gold detective style badge. Does the same apply to the silver patrolman's style badge?

$40 bucks - all day - SEAFOOD!?!?!? I'll be there!!!!
-
Yeah - Nothing is going to go on the front of it. The ridin dirty is cool and funny, but it was more of a joke than anything. The "Pride of the Northside" above the crew cab doors is enough.
-
Now this is what I'm talking about!!!! - A little hard to see, but look at the top of the windshield!
-
Not for nothing, I think we should go with "Ridin' Dirty" LOL
-
As it stands, some of the things going in the inside compartment are the portable radios, TIC, and a set of irons. There's 6 Vulcan lights mounted on top of that compartment for each of the riding positions, and there's 2 additional ones mounted on the engine cover for the officer and driver. Same goes for portables. 6 In the charger bank, 2 mounted on the engine cover. I'm sure Remember585 can elaborate on more of the equiptment placement questions. Also - 100 Ft in the trash line.

To create your own ringtones - download "Cool Edit Pro 2.0" - do a google search, you can download a trial version and use it free for 30 days, and then choose to purchase it if you'd like. (for those of u who are "good," you may be able to find a way around purchasing it, becasue it is a rather expensive program. I'm not going to get into detailed instructions on making the ring tones, but when you select to create a new file, a settings box comes up - select a "sample rate" of 8000, Mono channel, and an 8-bit resolution. You can then record pieces of songs, or pretty much any audio file. (always save as a .wav file) To upload your ring tones to a NEXTEL phone - and this only works for nextel!!! Go to this website: Harry Thompson's Page and follow the instructions 100% to a "t" If you don't it won't work right. You will also need a data cable, which can be purchased at any nextel store. Happy Downloading! P.S. - thanks for the props aowen!!

I don't think it's such a bad thing. Remeber - protect lives and property. If you ruin 3/4 of the homeowner's kitchen appliances, yeah, you prevented further damage to the structure, but if you can prevent damage to the stuff inside the house, why not? Even if it means adding another class of fire.

I figured since nobody did this, I'd post the link. This is really a must-see. Rescue Me New Season Clip

I've delt with one type of icom, and i don't know the model, but it's a small uhf portable the new rochelle ems uses. Nothing but problems. They seem to be a little better now on the recieving end with the new UHF system, but transmitting is still hit or miss.
