  2. In Mamamroneck, Depending on where in the Village the call is, and the severity, it's usually Sound Shore or White Plains. Many people also like to go to Greenwich. Avg times to WP or SSMC 5-10 min, again depending on location within the Village. For Greenwich, it's usually AT LEAST 15-20 mintues, even if we're right next to the I-95 Ramps. Traumas can go to WMC or Jacobi. For New Rochelle, 99.9999% of the time it's off to Sound Shore. Once in a blue moon, White Plains, and 30A3 has even gone to Lawrence and Mt Vernon a few times. For Traumas, its Jacobi all the way.
  3. There's a suprise for "da point" - 8 Positions, and only 6 different last names!! Congrats to all
  4. As far as I know, thats the new STATflight ground truck. Best part about it- it's got a real Q on it!!!

  7. If you all REALLY want pictures, I might be able to pull a few strings... My uncle is a Sgt in New Cannan, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind showing off a few of the cars for some NY buffs...
  8. Saw this in my favorite mustang forum - had to share it Click here to see Video
  9. Tonight (2/13) Mamaroneck Village EMS held the elections for the 2007 Officers. They are as follows Captain - Nikki Deshensky 1st Lieutenant - Craig Zern 2nd Lieutenant - Rich Goldstein 3rd Lieutenant - Art Roosa Board Of Directors - Jason Capalbo, Kyle Wilkie Congrats to all the new officers!
  10. From what I know - under normal staffing (1 FF on each rig) if either 39M1 (E131) or 39M2 (E130) goes out on an EMS call - the engine is out of service until the medic/ff gets back to qtrs. As far as a rescue is concered - E134 is the rescue-engine. It carries all the rescue equiptment. Also as far as I know, 99% of the time the members go to the scene.
  11. What the hell, man? you can't even take an extra 2 seconds to say hi while you were driving away from my firehouse?!?!? Nice picts of the seagrave though.
  12. It Is referred to as Ladder 14 - and lettered ladder 14. By definition, it is a quad. Or as my partner in mamaroneck ems said, a "Trengine" lol
  13. I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet.... So I'm driving up Main St in New Rochelle the other day, and I see what is a pretty familliar site - Engine 21, and 2302 responding to an alarm. But behind 2302, comes this: After asking around, I found out that NRFD's TL11 had to be sent back for some repairs. The 2 stories I heard were that the frame cracked, and that there was a problem with the ladder. Not sure which is correct if either. But for the time being, they are using the old Yonkers L70 Seagrave as a L11. I almost $hit myself when I saw that coming down the road!
  14. Croton Engine 119 (both the old mack and new seagrave) New Rochelle Ladder 11 North White Plains L47 Bedford Hills Tanker 5 and TL57 Dobbs Ferry TL23
  15. I think you forgot the 2nd "R" in Fergtoberfest. Great Picture Though!!
  16. The V6 is actually pretty powerful. It's rated at 210Hp which in a lighter vehicle like the mustang is nothing to turn your head at. Of course it doesn't have the speed or sound of a GT, but for what I'm paying, I'm not complaining. MY insurance is still under 200 a month, and my payments are under 450. If I got the GT, the payments on the car would have been closer to 500, and insurance over 250. Thats not including all the gas for those extra 2 cylinders.
  17. Well, I decided it was time to get rid of my Trailblazer, since it was getting up there in mileage, and go with something a little sportier. True muscle car fans may be a little disapointed since I decided to go with the V6 instead of the V8 GT, but for the amount it saved me on the car, the insurance, and what it will save me on gas, the 6 cylinder was the way to go. Here's the rundown: 2006 Torch Red Ford Mustang 4.0 Litre V-6 Engine 5-Speed Manual Transmission "Pony Package" (17" aluminum 5 spoke wheels, fog lights, rear spoiler, Mustang logo on floor mats) Shaker 500 Audio system with 6 disc in dash changer.
  18. When I asked yesterday, the only sizes left were 3X - Contact Remember585 if interested.
  19. Yeah, we did have a small water fight. Pearl River brought over an engine, and on the first time by just got the Seagrave. (They even gave us a chance to shut the doors on the rig and firehouse). When they came back the 2nd time, we had 2 memebers with water cans hiding in the bushes, and our tanker and mack fired up with the deck guns. A good time was had by all!
  20. In addition to what Sqaudco119 put - the bigger box on the drivers side can also be used to carry a 9th and 10th firefighter, if they are equal to or smaller than the size of our Captain.... Just kidding Jimbo!!
