NEW YORK OFFICE (NY) Federal Communications Commission 201 Varick St., Suite 1151 New York, NY 10014-4870 The Enforcement Bureau's Regional and Field Offices are responsible for handling a variety of on-scene investigations and inspections in response to complaints and in support of the Commission's operations. For example, field agents conduct routine on-site inspections of radio facilities, cable systems and antenna structures to determine compliance with applicable FCC rules. Field agents also investigate unauthorized operation in violation of Section 301 of the Communications Act. In conjunction with the Enforcement Bureau's Spectrum Enforcement Division and the FCC's Office of General Counsel, field agents assist the Department of Justice with in rem seizures of equipment used by unauthorized operators. Can see if you can get a local phone number by calling the toll free number: 888-CALL-FCC (225-5322). The more people who contact them, the better. And don't call up and just start whining about a random transmission. Call/Write armed with evidence including frequencies involved, possible identities/locations of offenders, dates/times, etc. A single event isn't evidence enough as atmoshperic conditions can cause interference from time to time. Regular occurances however definatly warrant investigation, especially if emergency transmissions are interferred with. DHS might even get involved.

No problemo!

FCC will only investigate if an abuse report is filed. It's like in that Christian Slater movie (Pump Up the Volume) where they have black vans driving around looking for pirate radio signals. IF they don't know, they don't care.

Okay. I know the one you're talking about now. Across from Shoprite and in the same parking lot/area as Radio Shack. I'll have to try them out one day while on Medic1.

Truckie: Which Animal Hospital? I know of Peking Garden which is next to the A&P in Katonah is really good (and the building next door USED to be a Vet). I'm trying to think if there is a Chinese place near KBVC down in Bedford Hills (the emergency vet). So thats my recommendation: Peking Garden in Katonah next to the A&P. I used to like Emperor's Choice in Beach but they kinda suck now. (Thier Sushi isn't that great and the Chinese is mediocre at best). Try Empire Hunan in Yorktown for excellent Sushi and pretty good chinese. (Sit at the Sushi bar and order ala carte).

Biggest cans. And I don't mean water cans. 8)

I'm not an admin but I can hazard a guess having worked on sites before. It basically boils down to storage space and bandwidth. When you host a site you are allotted a certain amount of space for material and a certain amount of bandwidth usage per month (some being lucky and having unmetered service but thats typically VERY expensive). Video of decent resolution takes up a LOT of space and obviously the bigger the file the more bandwidth it would use when people view it. It would probably put too much strain on the site's file space quote and the ISP would probabyl start moaning about excessive usage.

We all deserve a little recognition. Too bad we don't get enough of it. Or what little attention we get is negative. I don't go out demanding it like some I know, but when it is sent my way, it is well recieved and appreciated.

Please tell me you're joking. I might just loose my job is I find any nurse doing that.

A related question: Is Rescue 911 on DVD at all? I know Emergency was influential to a lot of earlier EMS people, but Rescue 911 is what motivated me at my beginning.

I'll let the others do the ranting. I'll keep mine simple. ExChiefPJ: SHOVE IT

Nurses who are usually nice and pleasant but then turn around and question why you worked up a patient for pain secondary to Kidney Stones.
