I think if you're suggesting that dutchess county no longer participates in the railroad you should head down to poughkeepsie beacon and new hamburg at rush hour. I think you would find a lot of people who don't agree. I think you would understand as well as anyone that the best way to remedy an agency that is painful to pay for isn't to dismantle it. You just might have to get creative. QTIP

To put it in perspective; Just the Arlington Fire District in Dutchess County runs 4 medics during the day time hours and 2/3 at night. Running nearly 4,000 EMS calls.

Does this mean I can finally get 32 on my helmet shield instead of a 5?

DJ does maybe 25 calls a year

If I'm not mistaken Nelsonville was disbanded. My stepfather and his father were members at some point.

I think the definition of the term is that all units assigned to the alarm are working

Looks like PECO has a converted ambulance as a vehicle for it...

I could have sworn I heard Village of Fishkill was starting to get in to collapse rescue, anyone hear anymore about them?

and Arlington with the rescue

I would have thought the Westchester team made up of Yonkers, New Rochelle, etc. Or the technical rescue team in Orange County with Goshen and a few other departments.

You know what was an unusual incident in the Bronx? I somehow managed to get poison ivy off of 233rd street

Why would an Arlington resident want that? Conversely, I wonder if resolutions from the boards of fire commissioners of Arlington and Roosevelt stating they will not expand their districts would help Fairview's situation?

At work we have a F-350 with a gas V10 Triton and one with a diesel Powerstroke and the gas is a joke

I drove by this today, looked like the bucket was about 6 inches from the pt's face, lucky enough.

IIRC a couple years ago City of Beacon had an issue getting back to the city after responding to an MVA on the span. It involved the BA, NYSP, 33-55 and 33-2 having a meeting of the minds at the toll plaza.

I don't buy the 18 year old kids saying they don't wear it so they can "feel the heat." That's like lighting a match to see how full your gas can is. I have my hood on top of my pants so it's the first thing that goes on my head, for every single call. Okay, maybe EMS I'll throw it in a pocket. Hood up, flaps down, I've got a long career ahead of me

I absolutely think so, I read about too many 78 year old fire police dying while directing traffic.

I definitely vote in favor of taxing all these non governmental "non profits" who see millions come in their accounts every year.
