I too, had Walter for both intro to fire officer and fire officer 1 and both classes were great. I've learned a lot from him and highly suggest for everyone to take those two classes. They are well worth it.

When will people learn that it just doesn't pay to get in the car and drive after a night of drinking. I used to be that stupid and had 1 to many close calls, I ALWAYS leave my car where ever I am no matter how far away from home and call a cab now. Its just not worth killing your self or anyone else on road. Please think about what you opening your self up to by doing that. I don't think I would ever be able to drive after killing someone or even injuring a child because of my own stupidity. Please call a cab, have a designated driver hitch a ride with someone else just don't drink and drive.

WOW again another great example of why ground ladder's SHOULD always be set up on all sides of the building. They are very lucky.

Yea I think if they can find a way to keep the power of the car/truck the same you will be seeing hybrid police cars and firetrucks. We will just have to wait and see.

I don't know I think he should rot in jail. Put him with the general population and let them have there way with him for the rest of his life. I am sure years and years of torture would be a lot better for him.

I like the vests as well. Is turn out gear really needed at all MVAs? Personally in my opinion on hott summer days and a MVA not requiring extrication I don't feel a turn out COAT is really needed. I think they should still be wearing boots, bunker pants and helmets a long with the vests but to me the coats aren't necessary. Sorry don't mean to take the thread off topic but I just thought I would throw it out there.

I understand that and I think they are great for patrol and now that you say the whole thing about heavy duty traffic cones I guess thats understandable but I'm would guess that they have other vehicles besides motorcycles.

I think the police should have sent CARS to accident instead of motorcycles I think it would have made the scene a little safer. (not trying to be a quarterback just my opinion)

What do they make now? I think I heard like $2400 a year is that right or in the ballpark??
