Horns probably should have quiet hours. From 10:0PM until 8:00 AM are standard "quiet hours " under most noise ordinances for construction work, amplified music etc. Now with pagers their is no reason to wake up a whole town in the middle of the night for a false alarm.

Having the Med Control Doc come to the scene of a school bus MVA is a great idea has anybody ever had an experience with that being done with any ER Doctors in Westchester? As far as your frequent flier issue mabe they may need psych evaluation at the suitable hospital.

I am back to using Eckerd, the old Genovese. I tried Duane Reade but they never have enough staff. Eckerd seems to be the only chain store that devotes its people strickly to film processing and not other duties within the store. I go to the one in Ardsley and cant speak for any other stores.

This question is for any 60 control or NYSP dispatchers. Just curious cellular 911 calls, how do they come in to dispatch? When ever a local agency gets a notification from 60 or NYSP it is very vague in regards to location and there is never any callback information. Example on numerous ocasions deprtments are dispatched to an "unknown medical" condition at the "shell service station" off of such and such road. The problem is that there may be 5 different shell stations on the road in question and an aditional 5-10 in the adjacent jurisdictions that have the same roadway. Is their anyway to get more info from the caller, or are they just very choppy cell calls? Does any information come up on the 911 screen similiar to traditional landline 911 calls?

Does PD respond to the scene as well? If so what was their take on the situation. If you have the funny feeling let The PD know about. They can investigate further. Better safe than sorry.

Guys, its not all about the money...lets look at benifits for the employed and their famlies as well as retirement...most privates cant come close to what the public sector has to offer. Just one hospital visit will pay for it all...

Fairview FD has laptops mounted in their vehicles. I am not sure of what they use them for. If it on a radio network or just has information stored in the hard drive.

The dispatchers are a metrotech. All the dispathers are FDNY*EMS members. Dont know about any of the rumors.

Forgive my ignorance but what are ANSC nurses. "Our" ofifice is always empty and locked. And that sink issue is true you have to wash up in patient rooms or the slop sink in a closet.

Glad you brought that heap to light. I was looking at it the other day because we were unable to manuver a patient around it because the containers are so close to the abmulance bay. Those containers are loaded with cigarett butts and other garbage. I like how that funky security keypad was already removed. They still keep those doors wide open with no security for anybody to walk in.
