  4. We took delivery of our new Seagrave Aerialscope today. In the coming weeks, we will be training with representatives from the factory and our local Seagrave dealer, and finishing up some equipment installation. http://darienfire.org/2011/06/27/tower-ladder-43-back-in-quarters/
  5. Back from final inspection and the truck is looking great. It should be leaving the factory some time late next week. We should see it in the firehouse by the end of May. Here are a few videos from our trip, -Jason

  8. Currently the old Mack is at the Darien town garage. Also here is another picture of the new truck. Things are almost complete.
  9. Quick update, we will be traveling out to Seagrave on the 25th for our final inspection. I should have some new pictures for you guys after that. @rbushjr, I can look around at the FD, I believe we have some documentation on that. @dillondotcom, Izzy is correct, the old chassis and engine were showing their age. While it's still a great truck it's getting harder and more expensive to fix every year. @antiquefirelt, Seagrave reused only the metal sections, bucket and pistons from the old aerial. All sensors and controls are new.

  11. Yep, part of the contract was to have their drivers take our old rig out to WI, they removed all the pieces that could be re-used and drove the truck back to CT.
  12. That's correct the town does own TL-43 At this point it's pretty much out of our hands what happens to it.
  13. Not sure what is going to happen to the old CF yet. We got some more pictures and they have been posted on our site. We are planning to get out the factory in a few weeks to check things out.
