I once heard of an Aerialscope knocking out a patio door. *Pauses for shock that someone would actually ruin a fine aerialscope doing that* .....well, I've heard of it happening, I've never seen it, and all I have is some words off the internet. Mike

Alright, I've got a scanner on my wish list for Christmas, and since no one in my family works in civil service nobody knows what the hell a radio scanner is. (All they think a scanner is is a part of a combination printer ) Anyways I'm looking at some radioshack scanners and here would be the frequencies i would have to program. Although it reccomends the radioshack PRO-97, I'm wondering just how hard it is for a new guy to radio frequencies to program it. Normally I listen to the online feed, but it's tempermental, as one day it might work, the next dropped after 2 minutes. Mike

Alright, since I got a scanner, time to bump this thread up. I got a Radioshack PRO-528. I got the frequencies in BY HAND and I need to put the talk groups in. If I cannot program these today, I'm having Radioshack program it. Anyone wanna walk me through on how the hell to program talk groups in BY HAND? Mike

If he was doing an engine check, how come in the photos his hood was closed!!!! Someone has some explaining to do!!!! If they've done this before, how come the problem wasn't fixed then? My 2 cents. Ask the state to dissovle Springdale and annex it into Stamford Fire-Rescue. Mike

Seth, keep some of that coal. With heating prices going up, it could come in handy! Mike

It could be that it's for the county HAZMAT team which might be (not 100% sure) made up of FF's across the county. It's the same thing up here in MA, except we go by state organized districts and not by counties. Mike

Or maybe the 2 topics were merged. Mike

ALS, I know 1 mL isn't all that much. That's just my opinion and I have no plan to change it. Find another way to get your misery out of you. Maybe beat oh say, the Titans! Mike

As Homer Simpson says so humorously "D'oh!" The sad thing is that somebody was legally intoxicated! My personal opinion: One milliliter of alcohol (with the exception of medical uses and mouthwash) you don't drive for the next 2 days. Mike

No Doc, you're wrong. The group plagued with the most stupid people is MY GENERATION. Although the AMP is a close 2nd. Mike

I'd say EMS deserves a LARGE pay raise. $25/hour for EMT's $40-50 for Paramedics and Supervisors. Beginner's (whether EMT or Paramedic) should get $20. Then again, you're asking a guy who lives in Taxachusetts. Mike
