The post advisor finally e-mailed me back! Turns out they had problems with receiving e-mails at the station. They have some spots open. FINALLY!!!!! (insert crazy screaming and hollering here) Mike
-
To quote the cop, "Are you blepin' kidding me!" "Nnnn!" As for the firefighter, "Don't drink and drive." NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!!!! Mike

Could it be replacing a current ESU truck? Mike

Alright, I have 3 things to say here: 1. Name the teams to make it to the Super Bowl in this thread, the official AFC AND NFC championship thread. 2. RescueKujo, wanna make a bet? 3. Go Patriots That's all for now. Mike

MPACE, I've heard of a MECHANICAL package for the Q that does the same exact thing as this. Give me a minute or 2 and I'll see if I can come up with a link. EDIT: After searching the Federal Signal site and firehouse.com, I can come up with nothing. So I must be wrong and you must be right. Mike

I brought my scanner (radioshack PRO-528) to my local radioshack to have the talk groups entered. (I know I will come under fire for not figuring it out myself, but this is my first scanner and the manual didn't help at all. Better to have the expert do it.) Anyways, the guy took care of it, BUT he put in the PD talkgroups as well. Now, for all the cops on this board, please know I hold nothing against you guys and gals, but I wanted it to listen to the FIRE DEPT. Anyone know how to remove the PD stuff without using any online fixes? Mike

MFY, I'm never burnt out until after 3 AM and my caffiene1 or sugar supply runs out! And no, my emails AREN'T JUNK! They're as well thought out as my postings on this site! Mike 1 yet another word I can't spell! 1 caffiene may be Dunkin' Donuts hot chocolate or soda. Depends on the weather

BUMP Any takers for an EMTB points poll? I'll leave that up to someone else to make since all I do is put my $20/box for the family one and I have no idea how to make 1. Mike

That's the media for ya! Aren't they great at what they do? Mike

Thank you for that Jayhalsey, I'm NOT a member of the post, and I have NO CLUE as to what their schedule is. So, I CAN'T show up to a meeting. Chris, my letter would be there faster than you would believe. I just hand it to my friend at the post office and it will be at the firehouse within a day or two. Ex-2114, it's a town e-mail address, so he may only be able to check it at the firehouse. I tried sending an e-mail on the 1st or the 2nd. (I don't remember, 6 one and a half hour exams will do that to ya ) However, I saved it to my drafts folder instead and deleted the draft. (can you say "D'oh!"?) I know patience is a virtue, but sadly, that virtue never seems to stick to me. Mike

From what I hear, you can get the Federal Signal Rumbler on a Q. So for all those bass lovin' firefighters. Mike

The stuff going on in Boston is because of the media's bias that just wants to put out 1 side of the story - the mayor's. The following quotes were on EMTBravo New England because of this issue. Topic Starter Reply #1 Both of them are from BOSTON JAKES. Mike

Alright, since I never said my NFC pick let me state it: their name begins with the letter 'P.' Mike

Wow, that was quick, now everything's a landslide victory! Mike
-
Wow, the poll's even for Fire and Police, but EMS is a landslide so far! Mike

Yeah Dave, there are such things as mirrors and you (pointed at everybody not just you Dave) could certaintly use one on the top back corner of the box. However, there's 2 problems with that 1: You may shear it off down a very narrow street or passing vehicle and 2: "Objects in mirror may seem closer than they appear" Mike

Byproduct of beer to treat icy and snowy roads? You gotta be kidding me. Mike

Wouldn't the EPA ban deicing solution if it can hurt the surrounding enviorment? However, it does present a hazard because chemicals can do some weird stuff and it'll freeze at a certain temperature, just much lower than what we're experiencing with 30-50 degree weather. Mike

I know a couple of guys at the post office, they've never said anything about a high mailbox! I'll ask them if the USPS has got a Zodiac or something for the mail in floods! Mike
-
Did you ask where anybody can get one? That would be a cool sign to have for my room! Mike

Probies, if there's one thing I learned to look out for in a firehouse off the internet, it's to watch out for pranks! Mike
