Izzy, that sounds like some of the best uses of a reel. However, my Dept. (that I explore at) has 3 engines with reels on them. Our newest engine has dual 1" reels and our tanker has 1 (it is our first due engine in our dept). Do I agree with the 1"? I can't say because I've never used it. According to my superiors, the 1" is used for small fires such as trash and vehicles. Again, I can't really say if I like it or not because I have not used it. However, I like doing engine work, INCLUDING breaking down and packing hose, so maybe I am a little biased. Mike

Ditto, "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime." I really could care less about the guys in jail. They don't have rights (or shouldn't) and tough feces if they don't like it. Mike

Agreed, a 1" inch booster hose hangine outside a cab with a man inside the cab controlling it is alot easier to go around a fire than a forestry hose being walked along the truck. (At least that's what I've heard) If it's a small fire, why not use a pump can? (AKA Indian Pumps) That's pretty easy to use. Mike

Gentlemen, is it just me or did all the oil companies seem to have formed a cartel and marked up their prices? It sure seems that way. Mike

Ok, it's 11:54 at night, why aren't we getting shut eye? As for me, I'm writing a paper on the science of fire suppression. I like to do work at night anyways. So, why are YOU up? Mike

First of all, the LEO who pulls them over will get the "This person is guilty." mindset and if he/she sees the alcohol and observes their behavior to be "Drunken," Tah-Dah! DUI/DWI charge. Secondly, any video from the dash cash show erratic driving, swerving, thrown bottles from the car, etc, by the person involved can be used as evidence. So, even without a sobriety test, you can at the very least, get a ticket. Any LEO care to elaborate more? Mike

I just got the best idea! Put all the members of EMTBravo into Congress and remove all the incumbents that go against our will. Mike

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't we just use the elevators already in the building if they're (elevators) working? Mike
