I e-mailed GK about this. They e-mailed me back and said they were aware of a problem with the Croton pix but it should be ok now. x635, the link you have posted is no longer valid. I replied to GK's e-mail to find the proper link. When they get back to me, I'll post it.

Thoughts and prayers to the friends and families of FF/Sgt. Engledrum RIP

We've been using these for at least a couple years and I can tell you they DO work well. We use Glad Zip-Lock bags. They are a bit sturdier for transport but the heat of a chimney fire melts them just as fast.

I just have a Bearcat 210XLT. It's old but still works ok. It makes some ungodly rackett sometimes and I have to punch it so I suppose it's getting tired and I'll have to replace it someday but not yet, I hope!
-
NO< Remember585, punching it won't work in this case. I think with this situation he needs to drop kick it!

And then, of course is another GREAT show ------- Hill Street Blues --- premeired on January 15, 1981 on I believe NBC

YUP! It sure looks that way. Guess you'll need to plow a lot of snow(geez I hate that word) or maybe break open the piggy bank LOL but then maybe Santa will leave one under your tree.(wishful thinking)

GREAT pix!! =D> =D> Those were vehicles built when things were built with pride!

Very true, 585, but most stuff stolen inhouse is NOT equipment or aparttus, it's more apt to be household supplies, tables or chairs, although we did have scanners and tv sets disappear, but that was many years ago. For a while not too long ago, we had a problem witrh K12 saws disappearing from station 2. Damndest thing! seemed like as fast as they were replaced, they'd grow feet and run away. People who steal firefighting and/or rescue&ems equipment should spend life in the big house with no hope for parole!

The following was in todays Journal News (Friday 11-26-04) Might shed some light on what happened. These jerks ought to be incarcerated for a LONG LONG time!!!! 911-service disruption leads to 2 arrests in White Plains Two men yesterday were accused of breaking into a Verizon center in White Plains and stealing equipment, triggering a disruption in 911 service in Greenburgh and other Westchester County communities as far north as Peekskill. The men had been taken into custody by White Plains police about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the Verizon building, which also serves Lightpath, Cablevision and other electronic-service providers. Early yesterday, work crews from both telephone companies were working to assess the damage and restore full service. No Verizon customers were affected. The disruption was extensive in Greenburgh, where police put officers at key intersections in town in case of emergencies. Residents were encouraged to use cell phones to call 911 because those calls were being routed through state police. In Hastings-on-Hudson, police Officer Anthony Gentile said when the service went out, "we kept our fingers crossed. People who needed us got different police departments, and they would get us on the hot line and tell us what the problem was." Larry Davis, 43, of Brooklyn and Gailican Phillips, 34, of Manhattan, were charged with grand larceny, burglary, computer tampering, criminal mischief, criminal tampering and conspiracy, all felonies, and possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor. The two are scheduled for arraignment today in City Court. Send e-mail to Roger Witherspoon

Something I'm wondering about after hearing the variety of problems and different phones people have had problems with: As Nextel upgrades their equipment, could it be we need to upgrade the software in our phones?
-
yea but don't forget where we are! We get all the WACKY weather!!!
-
My nextel's behavior seems to have improved in the last week or so. Anybody else noticed any improvement?
