I also agree wholeheartedly!!! You know what you put into this board to make it work, and unless you've been there and done that, people shouldn't be so quick to critisize. For the record, I, for one feel you have done one hell of a job here! Sad fact though, the bigger it gets the more diversified the membership. BUT, Seth, know this you have a heck of a lot more members in your corner than you may be prone to realize. KEEP THE FAITH and keep up the EXCELLENT work! Oh yeah, by the way, Congratulations on your new employment! GOOD LUCK and STAY SAFE!!!!!

Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the term "blocker" refers to an apparatus used to "block" the scene to protect personnel from being struck by passing vehicles.

I was a Watershed Inspector for NYC DEP. I was out of my vehicle opening the gate at one of the reserviors (Boyds Corner) in Kent. As I got back in the truck, Ihaerd Mike Bennett on WHUD say to Kacey that "it only gets worse, now a second plane has just hit the other tower". I finished what I was doing, and wnt back to the office. That day our group spent reposting signs since the City shut down all access. I will always remember that day, I have 2 permanent reminders-- it changed my career forever, not to mention that my anniversary with DEP is 9/11. My hire date was 9/11/1978. a hell of a reminder

While I am well aware of the tragedy along the Gulf Coast, today (9/1) marks the first anniversary of a Tragedy in Beslan, when terrorists attacked a school senselessly slaughtering hundreds of adults and kids as well. One thing is the loss of childhood of the surviving kids. Many became adults before the age of puberty. HBO had a very good documentary at 2000 hours today, and will air it several more times through September and October. My thoughts and prayers go to all involved with the hurricane as well as the families and friends of those people in Beslan.
