  1. Hey All, I have a question about the MSA FiveStar meter. We have a pair of them where I work. I attempted to power one of them up ,and it just started with that loud ear piercing alarm. No display on the screen, and the only way to stop it was to remove the battery. It did the same thing the next day as soon as the battery made contact. But after it sat for a few days It powered up, calibrated and seems to work fine, although the cloce setting is a bit off. Does anyone else use this meter? If so, have you had a problem like that? Also anybody know how to set the time on it? Thanks, DOC22

  21. Although I'm not familiar with the ISI line of TIC, in CFFD we use the Bullard. We are quite happ with it. We have used it for several fire calls/investigations. It can also be used for searching for missing/lost people in wooded areas. (We have also done that). So IMHO, I would recommend it for departments you described in your post.
  22. I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT. Mine currently has the stock lens, but for good zoom I am going to look at the Tamron (Ibelieve that's the correct spelling) 18-200 MM telephoto. It's a great camera. I got it at Ritz Camera in Bedford Hills. I paid $1000.00 with the lens which is the 18-55 MM. I am very happy with it---Great Unit!
