Well, I must admit, at first, I did not like it at all, but then again being an old fart and set in my ways, that's just me. But as issues are getting resolved I'm actually getting to like it. I geuss it's like anything new---just gonna take some getting used to.

#1. How do you remove a name from the "Block List"???? #2. Will there be a list of users on in a 24 hour period????

They still have an old pumper which is no longer in service, that was replaced by another which was acquired from BHFD. As far as the Fire Brigade, it's comprised of DOC Employees, inclucing Guards.

And in addition, What happened to my contact list??? and a few other items that were decent parts of the board?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

As I was reading a post in the Apparatus thread, I had a thought. How many Planning Boards and/or Commissions work with the Fire District or Department in their jurisdiction, concerning driveway sizes, additional water storage, etc? I know that our Board of commissioners.and chiefs meet with the Planning Board, and the applicant, to go over plans especially when a development or subdivision has been proposed. I believe that in at least some of the cases this may also pertain to single family homes proposed to be built. Anybody have anything to add? does anybody else have a similar working relationship with their Planning/Builging Departments?

Yes, In my District the Planning and Building Departments work well with us. In fact, we have many farms with LARGE barns being built on the property, the Building Inspector will meet us at these places and do walk-thrus wiyh us as a drill on Monday evenings.

I agree wholeheartedly with you here, Seth. Those ladies and gentlemen do an awesome job! We were probably one of the first Departments to have 60 Control handle our dispatching needs and have NEVER had a problem. With that said, I wish to say THANK YOU to a GREAT crew!

I think what you mean is that insured buildings are NOT worth the lives of our Firefighters, and I agree 100% with you on that!

Just to back Seth up here YES Westchester County does regulate taxis within the county. I drove for a car service and it cost me $150.00 for the TLC permit and that was just to drive. The guy I drove for has to shell out a LOT more than that every year. Towns and villages in some locales may have some rules as well, but the town I worked out of does not.
