We get dispatched on most accidents, unless they're fender benders. Rollovers AAs with "unknown injuries" we're there. Common swese should prevail! Cae down into a revine? Regardless of anything said by the survivors, a complete search of the area needs to be made. If that means FD gets dispatched, so be it.

I had a flat tire on the TSP south of Pleasantville Road. I sat on the side of the road for about 10 minutes and a HELP truck pulled up. He had a pneumatic jace and wernch, changed the tire. In about 10 minutes I was back on the road. When I walked up to the truck He already had my plate number punched into his laptop. So I would say they are well equipped. BTW, they don't charge for services provided. I would imagine you pay for gas if they carry it.

No, they wouldn't. But this has been and, unfortunately will continue to be the trend. The press loves to go after Emergengy workers and as people have posted in other threads, we har held to that "higher standard". While I agree that we are and should be,(held to a higher standard), I see no reason for one incident involving an Emergency Service person to be reported the way it is, giving all of uo that proverbial "black eye". Joe schmoe is "Presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law" where we, as MOS seem to be guilty until we prove ourselves innocent. Something's definitely wrong with that picture!
