Thanks, for the info. didn't know that. Being an ex, I guess I'm too long out of the loop. LOL

Like I said, it aint much, but it's a start. But then again your complete psyghological exam is not 100% either.
-
This is why in my (volunteer) drpartment, prior to apporval, a background check(arson) is done through SP on ALL applicants. It might not cover everything, but it's a start.

Moose, you are 100% correct! While an occaisional clip posted simply because it was funny, is fine cause God knows, we could always use a good laugh to lift our spirit, let's focus on making the majority have some interesting or educational vakue. And, it only takes a few seconds to type a desdription of what you are sharing.

Next thing we'll find out who flipped it over??????????

I understand this all too well. Driving along a road with bright sunlight directly off to my left through the driver side window, as it gets rapidly "pulsed by trees at 40 mph is VERY distracting, to the point where I have to set the visor for it. And I thought it was just the ravages of age taking their toll.

This is another terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go to the family and coworkers of Senior Corporal Victor Lozada Tirado, as well as the Dallas Community. May God's pPerpetual Light shine upon him and may God grant his family the strength to make it through this most difficult time.

I think this is a great idea, and agree with Chris to run it across the entire group!

Dongrats, Jack!!! Like Seth said, you dove right in, learned the ropes and went right to work! Great job!! Keep up the awesome job!!!!!!!!!
-
One of the ideas that Seth had with the point system was to give something to the community through matching "x" number of points for a certain amount of cash, some put up by EMTBravo, and smoe through our advertisers. Bravo Points: Giving back to the Community Once some other issues are settled, perhaps we could resume this.

Why, thanks for the heads-up! I'll be watching! I got the ic502 last June, they told me the ic902 wouldn't be out for a while. Didn't find out it was out until well after the 30 day return/upgrade period was up. But if this new 2-way system comes out, we'll see.

I've had Nextel for over 4 years now. I use the Direct Connect 99 percent of the time. To switch to a phone where I have to actually punch in 10 digits UHpUH. And those "speed dial" gimmicks no good far as I'm concerned.

Hey Sage!! If we could get a penny a point, you and I would be in GREAT shape!!!LOL

It takes all kinds of characters to keep things going. Glad it was just some wierd hoople rather than some jerk who had more violent intentions.

All the back-n-forth about who has power over what??? Bottom line: we are all here to do a job! We NEED to learn to work together. Sometimes this mweans EVERYBODY needs to take a step back, and think things through. Sure, the PD wants to keep traffic flowing, but the safety of ALL personnel at the scene needs to be #1 priority! I worked a werck on 684 during the morning rush hour. ONE trooper on scene. after two more PIAAs occurred due to northbounc rubberneckers, we closed all lanes in both directions. Got lots of troopers, then. But even after that, we have probably an even better working relationship with all PDs in our area. In those areas where there are authority problems between PD, EMS, FD, well, maybe you should all get together and set up some workable options. RANT OVER

Nice looking vehicle! Good luck with it!! Great job with the picture too, ELI!!!!

While I never knew the gentleman, I know he wil be sorely missed. My condolences to his family and friends as well as the residents of the Village of Buchanan ant the Town of Cortlandt. He is in a better place. May he rest in Peace and may God's Eternal Light Shine upon him.

Yes, for the most part, Jon. All dispatching remains on 46.26, but after initial dispatch all other communications go on the trunked system. We don't plan on replacing the low band pagers ant time soon.

I know in Northern Westchester, North Salem School has one in the Middle/High School. He is a Trooper from SP Somers.

Probably Croton Falls, cause we had 2 calls back to back. One was an inside electrical investigation, and the other was an automatic alarm.
