Beautiful Rig!!!! Nice and well thought out! Best of luck with it! And I like the color!

It receives tones and does things: For instance it will open a speaker in a cts (continuous tone squelch) channel guard or private line setup, or it will open pagers or other alert type monitors.

We get our apparatus from Gowans Knight in Watertown, Connecticut. We have great luck with everything they build, and highly recommend them. check out their link: Gowans Knight

Our rescue has painted rollup doors, and the paint is chipped and scratched, The rest of the vehicle looks fine, but those doors just look real bad. My advice? Stay away from painted doors on any apparatus that is gonna do a lot of calls.

Back in the day, I was up on Route 28 on the back side of Ashokan Resevoir, and heard the 8:15 PM test for Somers Alert. Had to be in the mid 80s, cause I was ssistant Chief in Croton Falls at the time, and had gone to Delhi from the convention at the Concord Hotel, to visit a friend and came back Route 10 to 28. Hadn't been on 28 for long when I heard the test.
