  1. I attended the service for the Worchester 6 a few days after the tragedy and it's something I'll never forget. The city shut down for the day and the people of Worchester watched the procession. While marching I remember looking ahead and all I saw was the top of dress hats...as far as the eye could see. RIP Brothers.
  2. Being laid off isn't easy for anyone...young or old! Good Luck to all of the brothers in Yonkers effected by this.
  3. The Former FDNY BOT Mack CF is the "new" Engine 23. It was placed into service after the 1968 CF was taken out of service and donated to the Lisbon Fire Department in New Hampshire. Engine 21 is a 1983 Mack CF.
  4. Tanker 23 was originally Engine 20, a 1968 CF. When a newer Engine 20 was purchased in 1988 the old 20 was refitted with a 2000 gallon tank and became Tanker 23. The 1988 CF Engine was made into a 75' Quint in 2002 and kept its number designation of 20.
  5. Nice Power Wagon!
  6. PARTNER!!!! I'm going to miss saying that or hearing that from you. Gary was the best partner anyone could have asked for. There wasn’t a mean bone in his body. He always had two diet cokes and friendly conversation for a lonely old man that would frequent the station, and he reminded me that help was always only a phone call away if I ever needed it. Like Joe said, Gary was one of those special people in life that you only meet a few of. I’m really going to miss you Gary. You were taken away from us too soon. I still have the card you sent me a few months ago on my refrigerator and I will ALWAYS cherish the kind words you wrote. It was an honor serving alongside you Gary. 137/139 Group 1 Mike Orawsky
