  1. Congrats Chief and Best of Luck! -Joe DA BUFF
  2. Nice photos Seth.... But, what is the difference between the truck above and a Dodge Ram??? I'm a bit confused. Definitely looks mean and ready to work... Did someone say new Rescue/Brush Rigs/MP's? -Joe DA BUFF
  3. Lousy Politicians..... And their money... -Joe DA BUFF

  6. I'm with everyone who says EMS deserves their own quarters on this one. Good issue Seth.... Why doesn't it get more attention/more advocacy? Good luck in making it a reality. I'm behind y'all 110%! -Joe DA BUFF
  7. I like the old 2021 Truck, I just thought it had character, but, looking good man! Good luck with them Chiefs! -Joe DA BUFF
  8. As always, good photos in Protection in the Past! I like the first photo especially, nice shot of the former Quint 1, I mean Ladder 50, with the ladder pipe working! And how could I miss the Red Bunkers? Thanks! -Joe DA BUFF
  9. Nice rig. Gainesville District (Company 4 in Prince William County) used to run a Mack Rescue. Occoquan is a cute little town; I passed through it on my drive from L.I. to Williamsburg and had a nice meal at the Virginia Grill: http://www.occoquaninn.com/vagrill.htm I would put Gainesville's Rescue 504, but their site is also down. Not sure if anybody else is interested, but... http://www.manassasfire.com/retired_appara...d_apparatus.htm http://www.cdvfd.org/apparatus.html http://www.sjvfd.org/content/fireapparatus/ Some interesting apparatus also from Prince William County, including the Stonewall Jackson Fire Brigade. -Joe DA BUFF
  10. That's the old Tower Ladder 11 working at that job, isn't it? Wow.... Why was Rescue 3 sent? Just curious. -Joe DA BUFF
  11. That's an interesting thought Seth. We've certainly seen Mack/Pierce in the past. Hmm... -Joe DA BUFF, who will resume what he was doing before.
  12. Wow. I wonder why the Mack Granite chassis hasn't caught on in New York to mount Fire Apparatus. Cases in point: Hardwick, MA runs a 3500 gallon tanker. Westwood, NJ runs a BIG Mack Granite Rescue. Why haven't we seen a similar Rescue in New York, or maybe the new Yonkers Foam Unit? Just wondering, I think we'd all like to see Macks back in the Fire Business. Nice shots BTW Seth. -Joe DA BUFF
  13. NEW YORK GIANTS! SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!! CHAMPIONS BACK IN NEW YORK! -Joe DA BUFF
  14. Looking good! Best of luck to 2331 with it! -Joe DA BUFF
  15. Thanks guys for all your responses. Anybody like "Robbery, Assault, and Battery?" Just curious. I think that song kinda bridges the gap between Prog Genesis and Pop Genesis. -Joe DA BUFF
  16. Congratulations! This song is for you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekhvwzPcD64 -Joe DA BUFF
  17. Yep. The track split is where Amtrak diverges from the New Haven Line on its Northeast Corridor Line, originally the Harlem River Line of the New York, New Haven, and Hartford over the Hellgate Bridge and onto the New York Connecting Railroad in Queens. The New Haven Line continues to Woodlawn Junction where it joins with the Harlem Line (formerly of the New York Central), stopping at Pelham and Mount Vernon East on the way. -Joe DA BUFF
  18. Excellent photos.... FYI-August 23 was a Monday, not a Sunday in 1982. If it was a Sunday, it would have to be August 22. How do I know you ask? Well, September and December have the same days of the week. December 19, 1982 was a Sunday (when Phil Collins played at Perkins Place). Working backwards, September 19 was also a Sunday. Continuing to work backwards, September 5 was the first Sunday, then September 1 was a Wednesday, August 29 was a Sunday, and August 22 was also a Sunday! That's how I know! Excellent photos though, vintage rigs and the like! And the vintage Greenburgh Car 69! Cool! -Joe DA BUFF
  19. Nice to see Patrol 4 Finally! Looks like a good rig! -Joe DA BUFF
  20. What's training like/what are the qualifications for it? Thanks. -Joe DA BUFF
