I was told the other day that the truck is going this week or next week to New England Fire equipment in North Haven, Ct. Its not long from there.

E61 was in the tin house, E63 to FHQ, was condemned due to the building falling apart. They built the new station and had the open house/wetdown June 30th, 2001.

Fire headquarters has been in some very bad shape for sometime. In the past few years (with support of 2391, 2392 and 2393) they have done some work like (repair of 1/2 of the floor since it collasped and the drains did as well) repointed the building last yr, demo'd the only bathrrom on the second floor (also was for the third floor) and put two baths on the second floor and a new one on the third floor, some painting outside the building, rew gutters that was needed badly. Some other work is supposed to be done on the apparatas floor walls. Stairwell needs help but we will see in the future.(keeping fingers crossed) Fire Headquarters Engine 58 and Engine 60 (behind 58) Tower ladder 2 Ladder 31 Rescue 40 but have a separate entrance. the firehouse is tight and with new trucks, they are bigger and wider so yes it is tight with budget cuts u never know whats going to happen.

Sweet. The largest parade we goto is probably Mamaroneck's its a good time and have a carinval in the harbor.. About how many departments march in Brewsters Parade? How long is the parade?

We had some problems in our station also, front section of the floor/ drains broke in. There was no support under the old floor (rebar). It had to be repalced with four rigs in the house. We also had a big mice issue...when they start wondering around all day and all night. thanks to god both issues were taken care of.

I always heard that the Brewster Parade is a awesome parade. I have never seen it, but will this year.

lad 20 also went mutal aid to town of mam'k last weekend. I think they only made 3 or 4 of those tillers and vegas had one and got rid of it.

A new section 606(e-1) has been added to the tax law to provide for a volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers tax credit for tax years beginning on or after Jan 1, 2007. $ 200.oo per person if husband and wife both volunteer. and must be active. A taxpayer who receives a real property tax exemption under Title 2 of Article 4 of the Real Property Tax Law, related to such service, is not eligible for the credit.

chrysler is taking them over ( the one across from the westchester mall) They have all their inventory and is selling them like hot cakes, big discounts. I was there today, since i need a new car since a lady totaled my truck.

I have two friends of mine that took the New Ro test (one a non res) but both took the practice and their ajility is at the third week in Oct. Both heard around that number.

No ladder 31 is not sold, still in service and 1st due. Being housed behind south end firehouse b/c headquarters is having half of the floor redone at this time. Floor has been in bad shape and needed repairs.

New Ro Just had a test, they just gave the practice ajility, and the actual is in Oct. They are supposed to hire around 40 ff i heard.
