Here are some pics...and one of my little girl loving the parade! Fortunately the sirens don't scare her...some other kids were screaming for mercy!

And the date????????????????????????????????????????????

Yeah, now I got it down to a science...put a few images in the incident workshop section of Buchanan Fire. Using Nero Snap Editor Software.

Cool, now if I can figure out how to reduce them...I am new at uploading my pics...although I have been taking them for a while.

I used some macs in college...they were different then. Now-a-days they can run windows and that helps cause almost everyone is so familiar with windows. OS is a great operating system but just not nearly as popular. I think they have better reviews all the time so good for you! Maybe one day I will switch, but not today.

Very well said...No one should show up to a scene supervisor or not if they aren't going to be ready to jump into the ambulance and do their real job.

Just wandering around the main message board screen to see that the EMTBravo forums have surpassed 78,000 posts! Congratulations, 100,000 is just around the corner...and 1 less away thanks to this one!

Watch sports...right now, College Basketball...however starting to pay attention to the Yankees since Spring Training is now in full swing (haha). Otherwise I spend most of my free time doing things with my wife and daughter...such as driving them to the mall and carrying their bags!!!!!

In EMS that makes no sense...don't need a supervisor on every ambulance, to do what supervisor his partner...In the fire service that makes sense...but ambulance is handled much more like police...in most cities they are out in the ambulance all the time and a supervisor needs to be able to make the rounds...if they were in a specific unit they would leave an area uncovered!

Ah, reminiscing about our times at empress...301 was great and now they get to deal with a bonehead!

As March approaches, marking the end of the College Basketball regular season, just wanted to remind everyone that March Madness is about to begin! I am a Duke University fan and am glad to see the Devils back on track winning the last 2 on the road after dropping 4 straight. Good luck to all the local teams in their fast approaching conference tournaments!

Tom, that would be computer code...like the symbols that actually mean the letters and numbers we are typing...

Sounds great! Central House located on Broad St. near the Social Service Building. That property has always been vacant and not nearly like a park...more or less a waste of space. Peekskill needs a new firehouse, and since they usually are all at one firehouse during the day this makes sense.

2 things! 1. All of you need to learn how to spell psychological. 2. If everyone took the exam and had to answer all the same questions and some people are just crazy and got them wrong...well that is too bad! Psychological sections are always difficult cause they catch you thinking instead of just answering the question. Most people try to figure out what the test-makers are looking for and not for just what makes sense!

neutral....that has got to be a classic...in the middle where it ain't supposed to be!

As a village resident, I welcome such competition and think persons our age should get involved. However, I did not hear the same messages from people in the Village about the tax hike. 102% may sound crazy, but our taxes in the village are so low it is almost ridiculous. I have a daughter, grandparents, and a home here and want all of the services to remain in order. We have a good police dept that is always visible keeping our properties safe, we have a good volunteer fire dept which has excellent equipment, an ambulance corp that is always there when needed, and an excellent dpw. I enjoy having all the pickups that our dpw provides, in most places you either have to pay top dollar for a private service or you don't even compare to what we have here. And, we have 3 of the nicest garbage men in the world...Swankie! Keep the taxes down and the village will go to shi#...For those with pride, sometimes we need to put a little money out to keep things great or even make them better!

They are security now. The State Police control all inside operations at the Casino/Racetrack or Racino as commonly referred to. YPD handles all outside conditions such as traffic and parking area calls. For a long time they were the Yonkers Raceway Police and there may still be members of that unit working there. Now they are security provided by a 3rd party agency out of Mt. Vernon. I believe you can look for a job with them on the Casino's website.

FYI to all of the radio buffs in the area. Tonight the Yonkers water dept will be doing water main work on the East side (i.e. Response Areas 13,11,14). The fire dept has placed many additional units in service due to the water shut off that will be in effect... so when you hear engines 301 302 305 311 and 317 on the air don't be surprised. As well in the affected areas first response Field Service Units will be handling the medical calls in lieu of using the local engine company.
