  1. Not nearly as rough as the ones over the Pacific when we flew to Japan a few years ago...that was NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. side view camera??? that is cool...next thing you know the rig will be able to parallel park itself like the new lexus.
  3. march 18....zero posts!!! Everyone should have been hung over!
  4. IMO HPN does warrant a full time fire-rescue-ems staff. A well trained unit that can lead in the event of a disaster at the airport. Not only has the airport seen an increase in traffic but there are also many buildings on it's grounds and I am sure that there is still room to build. This airport has grown vastly over the past 15 years and it is about time to catch up on resources! Either the County can get on board or maybe the Port Authority should come in...It is already very well policed!!! The 39 boys do a great job and are always patrolling...but there are 3 services and each should complement each other...I go for full time fire-rescue-ems...btw I am flying airtran our of there later this month.
  5. That's Right. It also will pull the new bomb disposal trailer in the garage...have to get a pic of that...has a cool graphic on it!!!
  6. hopefully not the enemy's
  7. I think that is a good step...temporary fix (bandaid) but a good step none the less...at least now they can get a bus on the road during the day time. Empress now has an EMT in Peekskill and Hawthorne, medics in Yorktown...but still a bit slow lately in Yonkers!
  8. Yeah right...or than it would be expansion not consolidation... This is smart from a taxpayer view...there are a number of areas in Westchester where this should be done.
  9. Maybe it is time for the County to step in...Dutchess and Putnam! Putnam had the chance and was exploring it but then dropped to Empire an unproven private company that is spread out all over northern westchester, putnam, and dutchess...I mean come on...I rarely see a patient in the back of an empire ambulance and the other times they are flying through the town of cortlandt lights and sirens...where are you going...an accident doing something like that will definitely bankrupt them!!! Otherwise IMO dutchess and putnam should come up with countywide ems plans...Involving Volunteers and Career assests on one line and one frequency that can pull units in an SSM like setup. And they should attempt a mutual aid plan between the two counties considering their borders...sometimes the closest backup is not in the same county and the call volume in both is not overwhelming!!!! As for cost...I say either you go into a contract as a private company, to make a dollar or you do it for free and take a loss every year! 350,000 to just cover expenses is silly, cover expenses, what about the capitalistic portion of the business...why get involved if you aren't making any money???? Private EMS companies are not there just to be there, someone went into it to make money...not for community service.
  10. I would say more like 15-20,000 dollars for that camera and lens...looks like it comes with water proofing...I have never even seen it in the magazines...and those binoculars ain't cheap either...sweet...can I borrow them?
  11. except red and white filters in the shape of a scuba flag?????? or if you really like the batman symbol you can use it...just wait and see what shows up.
  12. a few less than some and half of 315??? 167?
  13. actually after looking at it numerous times...it is not a limo and it is not parked...it is just moving really fast and that is why it looks stretched...
  14. They may have tried to film in Yonkers but that did not go over so well!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Seth...in dutchess there are a bunch of nascar fans and when they get married this is the must have of the upcoming wedding season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. http://www.yfd.org/appnewarrival.htm#Res1cueNew new pictures of Rescue 1!!!!
  17. I didn't realize they were still filming cops! I just thought they were all repeats...well at least the ones I see...What channel are they on now?
  18. Thank God it is 25-34 cause I thought I was going to have to change mine in May...looks like I have a couple of years to do worry about that!
  19. March 15th day of the parade incidents! definitely wasn't the 17th or 18th!!!!!
  20. If anything happens in public view it is in public view!!!!! It is not as though he broke into the highway and accessed a secure area. Until crime scene tape is set up how can anyone know that it is a crime scene?????????? That is not fair...most journalists use scanners and if they can get there safely and quickly and shoot the scene than that is within their rights...If he used his id to cross a crime scene line that had been previously established than he is wrong! Otherwise the police in this matter were completely out of line by taking away a Constitutional Right!
  21. Nice...start em early...then they won't have to learn on the street.
  22. Could also have been a 2001 Acura Integra type R...there is one I have seen around (nathan's) last summer that was pretty well rigged with a turbo and nitrous...My CRX can get to 130 (when it is working) and that is with little work and no turbo....just need a long enough, straight flat roadway..........
  23. I am sick and tired of the immigrants not being tracked...each and every town should have a station for them to be picked up to work...at taxpayer id, and fingerprints with proper identification...then they can stay cause they do a good job and a job that a lot of us don't want to do...but if they don't conform...then GOODBYE!!!! Another way to save gas...have Chris192 fly you to work!
  24. When I went to take pictures of the St Pats parade in Peekskill, I was shooting from right next to the bell for most of the time...Even got some shots of it for myself...unknowing that this was going on! Glad I got em in time...and I think it is great that they are rehabbing it...was in an awkward place with all the great h.s. kids going by it every day...and caring for it!
