Is it over yet???? I am still hiding under the covers!

With the overpopulation of deer, and the decline in avid hunters this is a great idea. I was thinking the other day, 3 of my 4 uncles hunt, none of their children are even interested, including me...something has to be done! Stop and Shoot - Program designed for bow hunters who can stop along highways and shoot a deer without a problem. There are usually some pretty good size deer along the parkways... Hit and Take - Person that hits deer should take the deer...if not salvageable then DOT can handle. If appears intact enough...make some steaks! As well, anyone who does hunt (FAC911) and has extra venison, preferably smoked, let me know...I love venison!!!! Will pay cash and that's as good as money.

Lights and sirens = emergency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A meeting with an idiot and a basketball team over an old incident is no emergency! NJSP should review this incident and come up with better protocol and procedure about movie around the governor. If you are that late why not use a helicopter???????? Then you won't put everyone elses life in danger by speeding to a non emergency with lights and siren...lucky no one died that was in their way!

Yeah, it was a whole lotta fun last night. The vicinity of 900-1000 Palmer Rd, Brooke Ave, Millard Ave, Meadow Ave, and Ellison Ave which unfortunately lies between the Sprain Brook and the Bronx River was the worst for a long time. Later on the Saw Mill River got bad and the people on North Nepperhan, Truman, Clunie were flooded badly. No where to put the water either and some people don't understand that! I am exhausted just thinking about it! Had to love the people who had 2-3 inches of water that kept calling to see what the problem was, little did they know some people were totally under water. Sure the Sound Shore must have had fun too.

Just imagine a moose!

Another cool thing about ConEd is that they participated in the buckleup initiative and even placed stickers on the rear end of most of their vehicles reminding people to do so. Hopefully they are ready for today!

The IRISH FIRE MAFIA...congrats to all in the closest thing I could get to your color!

That is cool, I never heard of that.

Or the Saw Mill?

Dennis Sabre right? Love the painted rims...otherwise it seems like a useful piece of equipment and it is highly visible although not pretty!

For the happy couple rain is actually good luck...so I am sure they are happy about it.

I believe Seth was in Boston at the time and since we used to talk a lot he told me to join up and I did. I am not a big internet person and this site probably takes up 75% of my time on the internet. Big fan of the EMT B!

I have just upgraded my photo printing abilities. I installed the HP D7360 with vivera heat transfer ink jet printing. This is an addition to the HP Photosmart 7960 and the Epson PictureMate Deluxe that I already have on the desk. Actually this was out of necessity, I snap the USB connection to the 7960 last week going between 8x10 prints and quick dye prints on the Epson...used to use one cable. At the cost of a learning experience, I now have two printers connected by HiSpeed USB 2.0 and the older HP is connected by manual transfer of prints to any type of memory card device. I need a bigger desk though, getting awfully overcrowded!!!!! Quick question: Does anyone else use an HP printer with Vivera Inks and how do you like it? Write ups on the web were outstanding. As well with this equipment I am now able to print graphics and labels for all you kit bashers...just let me know and we can work something out!

Another good online pro printing site is http://dotphoto.com and they have a multitude of printing surfaces including mugs and such.

Guess I better get ready to deal with the Yonkersites that think 911 restores your power magically! I am sure this goes on everywhere...but when the same people call everytime and you have already explained it to them...you may become a bit short! Last year's heavy rain and wind storm was no fun to work! So many wires down jobs...just kept coming in and in and in... Not looking forward to another one of those days! But then again better to be dry than in your ark!

Has a dressing room, room for the dog, and a room for the robot. Not fully walk in. Check the News 12 archives...they did a whole segment when this was delivered...very cool.

That is another great point. It is very difficult, the whole citizenship thing. It is costly, appointments are made at their discretion and you either make it or lose your money. Trust me, I know firsthand. My wife is a permanent resident (green card holder!) She is a nurse and sometimes it is hard for us to do our schedules. Then they give you a date and you have to make it...no matter what. Talk about throwing a wrench in things. She is already legal but wants to be a citizen, growing up she wanted to come to America because of the opportunity here, and she did learn English at the behest of her parents. But now she had to miss her swearing in ceremony because she was working, not in the ER but training to be an educator on bioterrorism, hospital staff first receivers. A very important class for her and her hospital! Now we are waiting to see if they will allow her a second chance at the ceremony. Hopefully it is not while we are vacationing in Disney. But there have been many days that we could go, that we were not chosen for but they had ceremonies. Just needs to be more flexible,....people have lives!

On the lower section of the rear (quarter panel)? Special Operations Division Bomb Squad

This is another great question...especially for Yonkers FD personnel. Why do none of the straight sticks come prepiped? Just wondering... There have been numerous fires in which I was at as an EMT and thought that it was odd to see them hosed up with a long rope controlling the angle of the stream. Of course than I researched it and learned that was the way it was done for so long until ladders started coming with prepiping and lots of other cool features...like live video from the top, thermal imaging and all the other cool technology that has come to us over the past few years. As well I think it is nice to have a tower ladder or two but Northern Westchester is becoming a little overload with them NO??? In my immediate vicinity I think L51, L35, and L10 are the only sticks left...all others have gone to the elevator ride. (LT8, L45, L46, L44 are just some I can think off of the cuff).

The incorrect response! The one who actually knows! And thank you to someone who is actually in the KNOW! and not just guessing for clearing this up...Mofire24 is probably one of the experts on this subject...and Chris192 of course!

That is an interesting article...any bets on whether they site him or not. Also, I think that the NJ governors are taking the whole "go out there and break a leg" thing way to seriously. Hopefully they adopt a proactive "click it or ticket" campaign in light of this. And hopefully he comes out of this a learned man!

Didn't Mohegan do this recently? How about one of their members outline how beneficial this has been to the EMS side of the coin. It looks like it is much better than it used to be, but that is just from a distance! Their equipment seems more up to date...including the really cool injury prevention unit...than when they were just known as the Rescue Squad.

Is he transported around by the State Troopers, like in NY??? I don't know if this is how every state does it...I know that in S. Carolina he travels in his own vehicle. When I was down there last time there was a story about him being pulled over or something...
