Ouch...Sorry to hear the Dan. Fortunately, I never have to ask where my camera is or where my memory card is (I have a dozen...different types of course)...just I don't really listen to a scanner when I am not already manning a radio in Yonkers, and don't seem to have any luck but once and a while!

I read the story about the State Trooper from CT that responded to the Myannis Bridge Collapse. Must have been nuts when he realized he just crossed it to get where he was going!

In regards to the Turnpike, I believe it is owned by the public and the videos are available on some travel site normally! It is unfortunate that the operator died, but as long as someone is not hindering the investigation of a crime than they have no cause. Do you actually see the death?

Sounds like a great get-away vehicle...lol I know that the MTA has vehicles that cross between road/rail for maintenance purposes. This could be the answer to the Tappan Zee railway connection! Get off in T-town, cross the bridge, and then hop on the Rockland tracks...just an idea of course.

It will definitely be a WET down if this weather holds up. Good luck to SHFD tomorrow, was planning to go but some OT found its way to me!!!

Almost makes you want to pack up and move to Pittsburgh and take an EMS job! Other than it looks like a cool place to work, I am not a Steeler, nor Pirate fan, and I don't hear too much about Pittsburgh being a tourist attraction! I love NY!

Yeah, use a tripod and a slower exposure speed setting...the pics I took of the Mohegan Fire at the little bar about a month ago...I used almost a 1 second exposure for the pics using the star-type filter...if I use the flash I keep it at 1/200th exposure. Also available is the bean bag type tripod with is a lot easier to manage and set up...just secure it to the screw hole like you do the tripod and set it pretty much anywhere! Have not bought one yet, but it is on my short list! Link to said photos: Oswegowind's Photos of Mohegan Fire as posted on EMTBravo!
