That stuff burns real fast...I think I have read about other fires on here where that stuff was used...maybe 1 in Mohegan off of Oregon Rd/Westbrook Dr...and maybe those fires in Peekskill years ago at Fire ahem Forest View estates? But, it is much more inexpensive to use since the builder ain't gonna live there!

In the original post it says plywood was up...but in the pics it sure does look like some type of cheap press board...

I am no investigator, but they do use the single turn at least twice a day, to and fro work. So, they should know what it takes and what it is made of...in fact they probably had something to do with the making of it...

Was this the guy we had in front of the liquor store on South St. with the Ice Pick in his back? I think you were there for that one!

Hope they don't call FDNY for M/A anytime soon cause if a company comes up using some old p.o.s., they may just hop in this and take it back to the NYC...LOL Otherwise, nice "Engine"...

The funny thing is that people don't realize if a word is underlined in red while typing your post, that means that it has been spelled wrong, and all you do is right click on the word that is underlined in red and it will assist you in correcting your own spelling. This will help you out in the long run as some people won't assume that you went to Yonkers Public Schools...LOL

I'm sorry, the intent of my original post was not to start a war about the services used at this scene, however I felt that the incident itself was ridiculous. Not the efforts or mutual aid of the fire departments involved or that of police or ems, but how do you roll over a garbage truck when you go around that turn every single day and should be much more aware and responsible. It is pretty obvious that this is another case of someone thinking they can drive fast in a truck that is large and may have uneven weight distribution because they do it everyday. My point was almost like what happened in Harrison (sorry to relive it) or other places involving emergency vehicles when people think that lights and sirens allow them special permissions to blatantly drive way to fast and run (meaning don't stop at all for) red lights. This vehicle belongs to the Town, hence the taxpayers and in my opinion, all municipal workers need to keep in mind that they aren't immediately footing the bill for the truck nor the insurance costs associated with what happened. And when things like this happen they are open to a very public forum and make all municipal workers look like fools! And if some don't think that the public has a clue, they are wrong...they are always watching when it comes to something with their town/village/city name upon it and will want to know exactly what happened, and the media will feed them what they want. Use your head, that is all I am asking.

Where is the premium members only forum? Since we are paying we should get our own forum accessible only to premium members and staff. And the language ban should be lifted so we can rant all we want without it being seen by everyone! Of course this could be a dumb idea...

First, have him walk to the ambulance...j/k Slide him prone onto the board, strap him down, transport him to the hospital, collar and blocks will do him no good in this case. Control bleeding as necessary, affix the knife in its position using tape and gauze, vitals enroute, notify for or case, take to trauma center, not local yocal ER. Get back in service quick for the next one, and brag about job to friends and family!

Quick note about other state DMV's North Carolina is a private franchise...yes, just like McDonald's. You too can own your own branch of the DMV. Pennsylvania, someone told me AAA runs the DMV out there and you must join to get plates there...then just cancel your membership and waalaa...you can still drive around and hope the police don't stop you.

Thanks for your input...but it wasn't a message for you!

First of all, they sell gas in kilo's in Venezuela and I doubt that it is .14 cents per kilo either. I know that their money isn't nearly as valuable as ours, however their oil producers are still trying to make money and they have their own oil wells too. Even when I was in the Philippines a few years ago, gas prices were right on par with ours when you did the conversion rate, even a little higher and their peso is valued in the same area as that of Venezuela.

12 yrs ago...before my time down here...but this will just be a mess. Why not extend the exit lane, and add a traffic light at Oak St, a little less work but since almost everyone that gets off at Oak St. from NB makes the left turn, this makes a whole lot of sense.....oh yeah, there is the problem, sense...keeps forgetting!

And obviously some people think that money (ie taxes) grow on trees and that people can afford everything they want. Must be nice to be you!

Congrats...
