9.8m/s squared... I know there is a formula involving this info, m+dx9.8ms=x, x is force I think...boy it has been a long time since physics!

Look up, don't stand below it.

B1 is the name of the post. Bronx River Pkwy from NYC Line to the Dam. The car is numbered, not sure what its 4 digit number is. I have the seen the B1 post use it frequently in my travels, but the officers have access to a number of cars, even when there is a car "assigned" to the post, some officers chose to use their preference... Right KHAS?

Why can't Rye send their Ladder even if only 1 is in service. It is the neighboring town, no? And since Rye is such a busy department (no offense), what would be the big deal? Some career guys don't like parades cause they don't get paid to march in them. I think parades have a good side and a bad side, but don't think they should be done away with altogether!

That's cool, they cover the airport themselves, the airport doesn't have their own services?

Does that FOAM Monster say Hasbrouck Heights?

Great Pics Tim! I think all of their new apparatus down there in Jersey look real sharp. Only thing I want to see on 19 is the safety stripes on the rear. I think those should be required!

I am probably going one day with the kid and wife cause I appreciate things like that! I also don't see it as a waste of money. I personally enjoy things such as this that are done to attract tourists to the city. This will make the city much more than the 15 mil spent by attracting people from all over to spend their money...so think next time! I got to see the Chiully glass sculptures at the NY Botanical Gdns in the Bronx, awesome exhibit! Also, the flags in Central Park were an awesome exhibit and attracted millions! Now in the NY Botanical Gardens on display: Moore in America! Sculptures by the famous sculptor are on display throughout the gardens and their is a photography contest involving members of the garden. The grand prize is some sort of magazine spread. Oh and don't forget to go see: Madagascar! At the Bronx Zoo...this display is what they have been renovating the old Lion House for. Supposedly another great exhibit, haven't been able to get down there, it just opened last week!

Who cares. Did he screw up? No, just someone writing a story for the helluvait. And as for patrolling the "hard" streets of Woodbury, come on!

I don't exactly agree with the statement that they are unprotected in Ossining's waterfront. There are a number of boats on the water and available rather quickly, that statement sounds like plain old politics! How many boats does the county need to facilitate an adequate response along the Hudson River? More than we have already?

He should have taken pictures with and without wig. As, I doubt she commits crimes without the wig. I don't feel her rights were violated. Neither were those of the clown the county arrested in Tibbets Brook Park a few years ago! Literally, a clown...she was photoed with the make up on and off...looked better with it on!

I agree with the "blown out of proportion" statements. Just a few years ago people were getting naked, completely at graduation ceremonies all over. Even a chick who graduated magna cum laud (sp?) at a very expensive university. "If they can't take a joke, #### em!" (Ed Baldesweiler quoted here!)

It is with deepest regret that I announce the passing of my Grandfather, Robert "Bob" Baxter. He left us on Father's Day at about 1:30pm and was in the company of his wife Theresa Baxter. Bob was a life member of the Buchanan Fire Department, however not actively involved for a number of years. He worked as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office as a career, and was well known around Buchanan because of that. He helped start the Cortland National Little League with Ray Seaboldt and others. He also served as president of the little league for many years, even after his children had grown out of it and even after is grand-children had played in the league and also moved on, Bob continued to do what he could for other's children and the youth of the area. As well, upon retirement he started mowing lawns to keep busy and employed a number of local youth who were troubled or had difficulty finding and holding onto work. He was very civic minded and he and his wife were actively involved in the church they belong to, Trinity-Boscobel United Methodist, also located in Buchanan for as long as I can, or anyone can remember. Bob and his wife were married for 58 years. He is survived by 3 brothers, 1 aunt, his wife, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4.5 great grandchildren, and a lot of loving friends and relatives! Arragements: Tuesday, June 17 - Cortland Funeral Home, viewing: 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm (97 Broadway, Verplanck NY) Wednesday, June 18 - Trinity-Boscobel United Methodist Church, Funeral: 11 am (Corner of Henry St. and Church St, Buchanan NY) Wednesday, June 18 - Cedar Hill Cemetary, at The Reformed Church of Cortlandtown, burial: immediately following funeral service. (Albany Post Rd, Montrose NY)

One of the houses on Swenson belongs to a family friend. He told us that apparently lightning struck a transformer and somehow exploded the gas line to his and his neighbor's homes. As well the house across the street was effected, but their meter only blew out and the line stayed intact and no fire resulted. Unfortunately our friend lost everything, thanks to Mother Nature. Thanks to all those who responded that night!

This is new protocol at least at some local hospitals. My wife works at St. John's ER in Yonkers and was telling me about this. Sounds like it is worth a try, it definitely won't hurt them any further! We will see how it works and then how it is adapted!

Happy father's day!

This is the new Yonkers Police ESU heavy Rescue...So it really is Truck4's new ride! This is a joke!

Sounds like fun! I think that the world has to lighten up a bit, no? Who cares, who did he put in danger but himself. This is the bridge to the north west of the Bear Mtn Bridge, has another bridge below it for the freight trains. As for the summonses, I didn't know that you could write someone for unauthorized use of an airplane parachute, what section is that???????? And unauthorized swimming????? You've got to be kidding me, what the hell is the water for, that is a crock! We had a guy swimming, rather floating on a log in the Hudson last week in Yonkers, TRK4 was there! One of the foot posts wanted to know if he could write the guy for swimming, needless to say it gave the radio room a good laugh and our boss thought the post was nuts...lol Soon enough we are going to be in trouble for leisure strolls that are unauthorized! Please stop the madness! I support base jumpers (even though I wouldn't do it) and those who have the balls to climb skyscrapers! They are out to enjoy themselves, remember, we only live ONCE!

2nd that! Cause if that were my kid, they'd better lock him up! That is plain ridiculous, everyday people are passing stopped school buses with red lights flashing, where is the enforcement throughout the County????? Especially in YONKERS! Somebody has to get our traffic unit to start following buses! I see it everyday on Yonkers Av on my way to work, but I can't do anything about it so I will just b&m on here!

So who won the Raffle???? 5 big ones...
