This test would qualify you for all the dispatch agencies(Putnam 911, Putnam County Sheriff's, Carmel, and Kent PD) in Putnam. Starting pay for Putnam 911 and the PCSO is the same(same union & contract)- $33,000 approx plus $2,000 more for EMT's. Currently I am going into my Fourth Step and that is bringing me to about $45,000. Top pay is about $48,000 plus longevity pay. But we are without a current contract so expect an increase hopefully soon.

I answer you by saying. NDP. Northern Dutchess Paramedics. I doubt they had a medic on their BLS ambulances.

Now maybe some help for the Dispatcher Retirement Bill! Separate but equal from the other services does not work!

I was working this incident from Putnam 911 from midnight on, and I want to thank all those involved from all counties and agencies for their hard work. We may have lost one life, but we all know that without the determination of all those involved, we could have lost five lives. Well done to all. And again. Thank you so much. I do want to send my condolences to all the families involved, and especially the former Mahopac Falls VFD member, somebody I vollied with many years ago. Hope for safe recoveries.

They are out of Westchester County but we, at Mahopac Falls, have two The Twins 19-4-3 1989 Pierce 19-4-4 1988 Pierce Both are 2500 Gallon Tanks w/ 1500 GPM pumps. Have open back cabs. They used to be front line engines designated 19-2-2 & 19-2-3 until the introduction of a new tanker and new engine.

I don't know about the animal related artice written by the Journal News, but press oversight of budgets, including police departments, as critical as they may be, can only be good thing in the long run. It's truly the only way the people can freely be able to know where their money is going. You lock out the press and you have a world of Mao.

I feel sick listening to this. If I was there I would have ripped the microphone out and welcomed the consequences.

The purpose of the United States Supreme Court is not to create law or change the constitution but to rather interpret the law as it was meant to be read as. The Second Amendment was written and ratified by the States in the 1780's. It is a member of the Bill of Rights, which I would believe should convey a little more respect then saying it should go out with the times. Next, you may be saying freedom of speech or the right to trial by jury should go out the window because it was written so long ago. Such, rights were written because they were felt necessary to the function of a secure and prosperous democracy. In my opinion the Second Amendment is a still highly viable law because of nothing than two reasons. This nation can still be invaded and we must stand as the unorganized militia against any attack. But more importantly, and all the law enforcement officers on here please do not jump to conclusions with my next statement. The people should not be afraid of the police, the police should be afraid of the people. This is a common statement in political theory of how democracies can survive. It is a known fact that those with power will abuse that power. And it is much harder for a government to impose undemocratic laws, and abuse their positions when the people they attempt to oppress are armed with the ability to defend their liberties.
-
God Bless the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. I don't own any guns but I can read. And no matter what any liberal wants to say, we, the people have the right to bear arms.
-
Ha is it sad that after 3 years here, I am still going to take this test.
-
Chris, you know if I was working I'd be suggesting Westchester County PD Aviation. Get you some work. But hence I can only do so much.
-
When in doubt, send them out.?
-
CAM502 as a Putnam 911 dispatcher your criteria is what I already go by. Unless there is visible heavy smoke or any fire, it is an inside smoke investigation to me.

Hey. I voted for Fred Thompson. A good man who would have been a great President.
