the best is when the guy yelled "Cover me! im going in for the truck" like it was a shoot out and he needed cover fire....haha

so departments have 60 days from Aug 1st to get the equipment. Does it mean every member or just for the on duty crew? as in they will keep them in the truck?

The public doesnt look at firefighters and poilce the same....fire figheters only come to help. People usually think police are associated with bad things like tickets. dont mix the two then all public safety workers will be hated.....

Oswegowind is right all of our busess down here in Florida are that big some bigger. There are some with a 2 foot roll up compartment on that same platform as the one pictured between the box and cab they are bigggg

Any one have any suggestions for a class or two to take over the summer? Not looking for something too difficult and im just about done with my gen eds. So an elective will probally be the best thing.

I agree I see nothing criminal with what happened. If anything who ever is behind the bad traffic signal should be the one punished and that is even a stretch.

They have spare tires on the rig? Wouldnt a call to the shops do the trick? Never heard of that before...seems like a waste of space and weight to have something you never will use..(i get it now )

I know some companies put them on but I think I read on another forum that it voids some kind of warranty and that the shops sometimes took them off no clue if thats true

once they get everything squared away Ladder 2 the Seagrave Straight Stick that is waiting to be fixed will be out of headquaters (station 1) and the new Seagrave Tower ladder will be out of 3rd street (station 3). The old mack and the e-one will be spares im assuming

I was looking at a site of bostons rigs and it seemed like there was a lot of older equipment; 93,94,95 E-Ones and such. I would think in a big city like Boston it would have a shorter truck life and therefore newer rigs?

and then they rear end the car infront of them because they were trying to hold their camera phone steady I think its going to cause more problems then solve
