Date: 02-06-08 Time: 2100hrs Location: 19800 Welby Way (Winnetka/Valley) Departments: LAPD Description: Suspect shot and killed (3) family members, called 911 and ambushed arriving PD units. Suspect later shot (2) LAPD SWAT Officers during an entry, killing (1). After a (10) hour stand-off and numerous attempts to force the suspect out, the home caught fire. At 0700hrs, the suspect then emerged from the burning home firing a weapon and was nailed by a SWAT sniper. A female victim and apparant hostage was rescued from the rear of the home.
