News 12 tried to do a story about this last weekend, focusing on the fact that one of the wealthiest communities in Westchester has such a delapidated Fire Department. They wanted to ask the mayor, who is up for re-election, about the fact that they had to borrow a fire truck with no plans for a replacement. The story fell through because no one from any aspect of the FD would speak about it. It seemed like a pretty good opportunity wasted.

The Humvee has no specific role yet. The intent is to have another four wheel drive vehicle that can operate in heavy snow, rough ground and flooding. It can concievably be used as a spare E-Rig or as an E-rig in adverse weather. Still waiting for the big truck? Yeah, and I'm still waiting to be kidnapped by exotic dancers and taken to a warmer climate.

They had squatters in a house off Oliver Ave (Nodine Hill near the top of Elm St.) last week set a small fire during the day. The harsh winter increases the chances of these types of jobs. Never say never, but the Nodine Hill Fire was a 20 year fire. You wont see something like that again in Yonkers for quite some time.
