  9. Great thing about the West Coast- tillers are everywhere. Rockland has a bunch of real nice TDA's- Seagrave and P-Quantum in Nyack and Haverstraw's Pirsch in addition to the Seagrave in Suffern's "Great White Fleet." Don't forget the monster in Mamaroneck Village.

  13. You have to remember, there are many Public Safety Departments in California that have full time cops that respond to fire calls and are the firefighters. His ideas may seem far fetched here, but it sounds like concepts stemming from the use of those "PSDs."

Description: Homicide suspect from Mamaroneck shooting reported to be at his father's residence. Upon arrival, suspect fired shots at PD and is now on foot in woods. Kids are safe and accounted for in residence. Perp had shot and killed his wife, shot her sister and abducted (3) children. Frequency: 155.310 WCPD, 156.015 MPPD Writer: Truck4 2219hrs- Mount Pleasant PD recieved a call that vehicle/suspect was on Davis Ave off Grasslands Rd. Units arrived, spotted van and called shots fired over the air. All units to pull back and establish a perimeter. WCPD, NYSP and Greenburg units all enroute. 2225hrs- Greenburg PD attempting to secure residence. ESU reporting perp is possibly on the run in the rear woods. 2226hrs- Units report load screaming from residence. 2229hrs- MPPD has perps parents out of residence. They are stating that the kids are safe inside. Perimeter is set. No units to enter until house is cleared by ESU. 2231hrs- Suspect left vehicle at father's house, dropped kids off and ran on foot. Greenburg PD/ESU evacuatings surrounding homes with Mount Pleasant and clearing surrounding yards. WCPD Aviation is O/S. Greenburg Tactical team and WCPD Tactical team are mobilizing and will be enroute shortly. 2234hrs- Units have suspects father calling out the kids. 2235hrs- First arriving Greenburg ESU units are conducting a clearing of inner perimeter around house, including a call-out of the abducting children. Numerous WCPD, NYSP and Greenburg patrol units establishing a large perimeter. 2242hrs- Staging for Tactical teams will be east entrance of WCC. Units holding entrance of Cemetary at Commerce St. for starting point of area search. Mt. Pleasant Car 50 is I/C. 2246hrs- Units are reporting that the father thinks the suspect may be inside a red van at location. Units checking ATT. (It seems that the father is not being as cooperative as he could be) 2247hrs- Caller on Stephens Ln. reports noise from the woods in the rear. Units have children out of house in good condition. Van is secure. House is still not cleared. 2247hrs-New Castle PD units covering Mt. Pleasant. Perimeter is as follows: Taconic State Pkwy from Hillside to Lakeview Ave. Lakeview West to Route 100. Grasslands Rd. from Virginia to 100. 2252hrs- New Castle PD responding with a TIC. 2253hrs- Units from North Castle being sent to Train Station to cover trains. MTA PD w/3 units covering train tracks. 2254hrs- Caller reporting person fitting description on McKinley Ave. Aviation redirecting. Male is reportedly wearing a red shirt. 2255hrs- Perimeter extended to Broadway in Valhalla. 2300hrs- Greenburg ESU tactical team O/S. WCPD still mobilizing. Possible male fitting description last seen I/A/O McKinley operating a dark colored Nissan Maxima. Father had reported that he had access to other vehicles besides white van. 2307hrs- WCPD K-9 enroute. 2314hrs- Greenburg Tactical team preparing to enter and clear residence. 2315hrs- Mt. Pleasant supervisor req. use of Valhalla FD's quarters as command post. 2322hrs- Yonkers and Mamaroneck Detective Division Units O/S. 2327hrs- Mt. Pleasant PD recalling additional officers. 2329hrs- MTA PD K-9 units at scene on S/B. 2335hrs- WCPD Tactical team is at staging, will be responding to Legion Dr. for a call reporting a possible person in an unoccupied house under construction. 0000hrs- Units advising aforementioned locations on Stephens Ave and Leigon Ave have been cleared with negative results. Tac teams are conducting area searches. Command Post established at Vallhalla FD. 0020hrs- Mt. Pleasant and WCPD 4X12 shifts are being held over. 0027hrs- WCPD Tac team supervisor rpts. they are starting a K-9 track from the suspect's vehicle. All units to hold perimeter. Patrol units, under Mt. Pleasant PD, will be conducting a door to door search for witnesses/suspect in area of original scene. 0049hrs- Rpts of a suspect and weapon recovered behind the Deli. Possible self inflicted gun shot wound. 0050hrs- Hillside X Grasslands, WCPD/Greenburg SWAT have a suspect with self inflicted gunshot wound in rear of the "Corner Deli", behind a garage. Weapon recovered. This is the area of the original rpt of shots fired. 0056hrs- Detectives enroute, units will positively ID before declaring incident U/C. Crime scene being established. 0059hrs- Req. FD T/S with lights.

  24. Philly had a job tonight (about 9:30) in a 2-story OMD in the basement. Two firefighters were trapped and removed by Rescue and RIT; (1) in traumatic arrest and (1) critical.
  25. Bucks County PA also had a P.O. struck by a car a couple hours later on a traffic stop. Reported to be brain dead.
