Tonight, without PL, I heard an NYPD channel over 453.000. At 0210hrs, a deputy inspector asked the dispatcher if the system was being worked on becasue he just heard "E-238" over SOD. Apparently they are hearing Westchester Fire. The problem has been ongoing since about 1800hrs. That freq. is also NY Citywide fire buffs, a Long Island PD channel, a security company and livery cab service.

Writer: Truck4 1740hrs- Full first alarm assignment responding to above location for an MVA with (1) car on fire with person still insdie. 1750hrs- CMD advising units to stay away from vehicle. Confirmed person still inside. Units will try and knock fire down from distance. No reported electrical problems ATT. 1759hrs- CMD req. Con Ed w/rush. Occupant still reported to be in vehicle. (1) handline in operation.

Writer: Truck4 2035hrs- P.O. reported to have serious injuries and was unconcious upon arrival at Hospital with (1) stab wound to upper left chest. Vitals reported stable.

Date: 3-5-05 Time: 2010hrs Location: Atlantic Ocean I/A/O VZ Bridge Description: Report over Coast Guard Ch. 16 (Emergency Channel) of the tug "Bouchard Boys" on fire. Frequency: USCG Ch. 16- 156.800, NYPD SOD- 470.8375 (for Harnor/Aviation) Writer: Truck4 2010hrs- USCG recieving a report of a tug with a barge in tow on fire in the area of Bay Ridge. 2021hrs- FDNY -Brooklyn sending assignment to Box 1197 (Shore Rd. X 96th St.). Assignment Includes Marine 9, R-5, Tac 2, Rescue Bat., B-42. 2025hrs- Bouchard Boys in contact with NYPD Harbor Units relating they knocked the fire down and have a smoke condition at this time. NYPD Aviation on scene with tug and barge in area of VZ Bridge. Brooklyn FDNY land units responding 10-20. 2028hrs- NYPD Harbor Charlie relating they are on scene and the correct location is the 28 Buoy. FDNY Marine 9 relating that land units should be sent to Navy Homeport in SI (Marine Unit's Quarters). Box being transmitted in Staten Island. 2032hrs- NYPD Harbor Charlie relating that they have made contact with the tug's captain who relates the situation has been corrected. 2100hrs- Harbor Unit enroute to Homeport S.I. with aided from tug. FDNY EMS being notified, CFR-D Engine to meet Harbor at dock.
