Also rpts window bars, first floor. 0317hrs- B-47 transmitting 2nd Alarm. 0320hrs- B-47 rpts fire in the basement and 1st floor of a 2-story 20X40 P/D. (2) L/S, (1) in operation. 0328hrs- Div. rpts a fully involved 2-story frame P/D with reported wheel chair bound occupant unaccounted for. 0400hrs- (2) occupants removed from building, (1) reported DOA and (1) transported and pronounced at the hospital.
  4. "It is with a deep sadness that we bring to you news of the death of George Hall, owner of Check Six and Code Red Stock Archives. He also owned George Hall Photography, which has operated out of the San Francisco/Bay Area region for the past 35 years. He died April 20th after open heart surgery." George was a premier fire photographer, publishing "Working Fire" and "FDNY" from Chronicle and Squarebooks, as well as the "Fire Trucks In Action" calendar series.

  7. 4-23-06 Tallman (Rockland) Firefighter Christopher Vass, 30-years old, was killed in an overnight MVA on the NYS Thruway in Monsey. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and fellow members of the Tallman Fire Department.

  12. It is being reported that the Board of Fire Insurance Underwriters has voted this afternoon to withdraw funding for the Fire Patrol Companies. A subsequent decision to maintain the Fire Patrol until alternate sources for funding can be obtained.   23. Date: 4-11-06 Time: 0615hrs Location: 36 Whittier Ave Units Operating: Description Of Incident: Fire in a P/D with elderly residents trapped. While conducting searches, members removed an occupant and then became trapped in the dwelling. (1) firefighter was trapped in the basement. Rescue efforts were hampered by heavy fire conditions.
