hey this is a major problem in my town we even have people who dont yield to our trucks and you even get idiots who drive in front and behind the rigs when were backing up inot the house!! heres another one i tapped the hydrant during a recient job and a cop pulled up and blocked the road so no one could bet in the way of the 5 inch line. some dick herad drives around the cop onto a lawn and gets stuck in the wet grass. ive never seen a cop go off on someone and he wrote at least 16 tickets

ok in my towm we dont have a "fast team" i dont even know what it is. can someone from a dept that has one tell me what it is and its purpose please? and ive never heard of a fast team in farfield county.

hey dave im also a probie at my dept. and i just gotta say that youtook the words right out of my mouth!!! PEOPLE DONT BE STUPID DEAD FIREFIGHTERS ARE NO USE ON THE FIREGROUND!! AND IF YOU WANT TO RIDE ON THE BACK OF A TRUCK JOIN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND RIDE THE REFUSE TRUCKS!!! BECAUSE THATS WHAT YOU ARE GARBAGE!!!

we reseltly discussed this topic in my depts last meeting and now there is a zero tolerence policy if any member attempting to ride on the steps will be suspended for 6 months and the second offence is being kicked out of the dept. people were firefighters not garbage men here and if u want to ride the step get a job at a refuse company cause thats were u belong!!!!

at my dept they used to ride on the back step but that was a diffrent time when the trucks had running boards for that like our maxim pumper the new trucks are safer and they dont have those big running boards. and we outlawed all riding on the trucks without sitting and belted in. but if u belt or not its your choice. guys im a probie and i know that its not safe and if u do it you shouldnt be around a truck or a fire house. they should be in a corner with a dunce cap on

Ive Seen a few Ferrara engines on fdnytrucks.com and i was wondering if those were trial rigs or the real deal? And are there more on the way?

Which do you feel gives better warning, LEDs or strobes? My department is thinking about upgrading to LED's from older strobes on our engines, but is it worth it?
