I guess anything that is not meant for the action it saw there in Portchester and got abused by the people there would only last that long too.. Hey, in the grand screem of things it was a longtime lasting if it lasted 7 years...

The whole trouble is that you would think this is the first snow storm the City has ever seen, I remember years ago when this was the second nature and snow storms were the normal. I think that they need to try and get their heads out of their a**es and get better snow removal done. Of course it is bad in the City, but to block an emergency vehicle is just plain bull crap, move the bus and make an effort to get out of the way and no criticism would be had.

Just a small memorial service to honor the members of the Fire Service that have passed on to a higher calling. There were 115 members, past and present that were honored in the reading of the names at the service thios afternoon. The name of Roosevelt Fire District Emergency Service Squad Captain Vincent Iaccino who died in the Line of Duty while participating in a training event at the County Training Center was read as several members of that department looked on. Here are a couple of pictures from my cell phone that I took while attending this event myself. Members of the Roosevelt Fire District look on. Some guests look on as names are read.

Yes, the fire was confined to the rear back room on the C/D corner, with smoke and heat damage to the rest of house. The firefighter with exhaustion was treated and released later that night from the ER at hospital.

A early morning fire destroyed this multi-family residence in Milan on Mountain Road on July 26th. Milan was initially dispatched for a structure fire and on arrival found heavy fire coming from the structure and sounded a second alarm and request for additional tankers to the scene. Assisting Milan at this fire were Rhinebeck, West Clinton, Hillside from Dutchess County, and Taghkanic, Elizaville and Ancram from Columbia County at the scene. Other departments from both counties provided stand-by coverage to those operating at the scene. Fire is under investigation by the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division.

Great, only one question though.... What is the date, you gave all the other details but the date... Thanks...

Did anyone stop to think that maybe the photographers that are usually posting in here are either busy or maybe they are tired of posting pictures to have them criticized.

It seems that only one thing and one thing only should be done after this incident. His lack of proper judgement and not allowing the automatic aid to respond into the fire as he cancelled them prior to arriving and making a proper size up caused injuries to 3 firefighters. GET RID OF THIS ASST. FIRE CHIEF and he should have criminal charges brought upon him for his lack of safe actions and getting these 3 firefighters hurt at this fire scene. Immediately remove his rank and suspend him for this lack of proper competence.
