Not that it makes any diffrence but Engine 104 is a 1983 Mack CF. The Mutuals also had a 1970 Mack CF that ran as Engine 103 before it was replaced by the 1993 Pierce. That as well as 104 were great trucks.

Ladder 43's aerial did not pass inspection. Therefore it only responds on certain calls and as needed with it's equipment, extra manpower and or it's haz-mat equipment. The company is currently going about replacing Ladder 43. Tower Ladder 14 - 1991 Sutphen 90' Tower Ladder 43 - 1987 Seagrave 100' rearmount Both ladders do not have pumps.

Scannermaster is a good company also.

I believe that they were designated by civil defense. Unsure of how they came up with that numbering scheme though.

96.9 is an excellent station, too bad we don't get it down here in Westchester. 91.7? WXCI from Western Conn. University in Danbury, is also really good if you hit it at the right time.

Mt. Kisco is replacing Ladder 43.

MKFD is toned out on both frequencies to activate the fire horn and repeater. There was some problem with doing both on 33.96 so they came up with this solution. I believe the horn activates on 46.26 and the repeater on Nortnern Westchester Hospital on 33.96

E106 in Mt. Kisco was a 1980 Hahn, it was refurbed in 1993 by Pierce. Engine and pump are original, everything else was replaced. It has quite an interesting sound to it now after the refurb.

Unfortunately there are many out there who love to listen to themselves talk on the radio. Another annoyance....those who overemphasize the NY City accent when on the air, even though the grew up in No. Westchester. Just say what needs to be said in a clear, normal tone then get off.

Can someone clarify the FF1 Certification? To become FireFighter 1 certified in NYS what are the requirements? I know I have the classes but never took a test. Thanks for whoever can sort this out.
