When I read this the only thing that I keep hearing is the "hypothetical" instead of going over it again and again. Why aren't we asking the "real" department ? As there have been many different answers as to why, we really don't know. For the people that are asking who cares? Well.. every single one of us should care.. Budgets are in the RED, the grant money is drying up. People are loosing there jobs !!!!! Chief's should be leading the example period. I will agree that each an every case if different but if you start bringing these items up to the "public" I am pretty sure they would not be too happy when they find out the Fire Dept funds are being used to go "shopping" especially in another state. **These comments are mine and do not represent or reflect on any affiliations I may have.**

An old friend of mine, Mike Day is in serious trouble. Michael has been in the Fire Service in Dutchess County in several capacities, he has been a volunteer for Hyde Park and Staatsburg. He worked at Grubb& Ellis as a Firefighter and he also an EMT at Alamo and for Northern Dutchess Paramedic. Michael is married to his high school sweetheart and they have three children together. Michael's Father is a retired City of Poughkeepsie Firefighter. If any of you have anything that you can give, I encourage you to please visit www.hopeformike.com. I am talking to a few friends of mine and we are tossing around idea's to hold an event, whether it's a spaghetti dinner or a charity concert we are in the beginning of the planning stage. In the mean time Mike and his family are in need of help. Please take the time to read his entire story. www.hopeformike.com Thank You!

I am looking for information for good locations to view the "Tribute in Light". I know many of you have photographed them from a State Park in New Jersey. I was looking for other locations that may be just as good. Thanks

Sad news from the Pleasant Valley Fire Department, Past Rescue Squad Captain Stan Teal has passed away following a battle with Cancer on 9/18/10. My prayers go out to his family. Stan was an incredible asset to the Rescue Squad, and an extremly nice guy who would do anything for you. I will follow up with arrangment details as I get them. Christopher M Bodin

I posted your fundraiser outside the 911 Center.

The City of Poughkeepsie uses New World Systems. Now as far as PSAP software I don't know what your referring too. A PSAP is a Public Safety Answering Point, Each 911 Center is considered one.

During my recent honeymoon in Florida, my wife and I had the opportunity to stop here: American Police Hall of Fame and Museum If you are ever in the area of NASA, I encourage you to stop here. They have a really great collection of Law Enforcement history. The Memorial is very sad to see all the names who have died in the line of duty, but as you read there names their legacy lives on. I will try and post some pictures.
