does anybody have any info on eng 40 to the scene in mamaroneck town for a propane incident on murdock woods area kolbert rd

I understand the village of Mamaroneck Eng 40 was there all nite till 6am now the town is still there as of noon today. It was a controlled burn off of propane gas any one have anything to add I am in Vermont for the weekend. It figures.

sorry i didnot get back sooner but just to explain something some months back in 2007 pelham fd went to new roc to stand by or to the scene and the tmfd went to stand by in pelham with eng 36 i also heard that pelham manor will not go to mt vernon because the chiefs have had words about pmfd having to call back career men to cover his village because the vollies are not allowed in mt vernon the tmfd vollies drive and operate every piece as do the paid men

just wanted to say that on the mvfd m/a pelham manor no longer responds to mt vernon the way i hear it ( mind you this is second hand ) the pmfd chief and mvfd chief have had words and they will no longer go on m/a at least not on 1st done in bases because no volunteers are allowed into a union area when ever pmfd goes in they have to do call backs to cover pm fire or like when pelham went to nrfd to stand by and the tmfd stood by on 5th ave for pelham for the same reason no volunteers in new rochelle as far as pelham they may be in the same boat also as pelham manor

did anybody hear what company was dispatched from pcfd

i heard of a mva south of marble ave exit north bound

just left sleepy hollow fire and wow was there ever alot of depts there way too many if you ask me there were at least 5 deputy coordinators and car 2 plus oem personnel 446 red cross and mobile com 1 wow alot of people ik white coats well i was not there in a fire capacity but i saw enough to wonder why so many people and trucks oh well just a thought that should start a stream so let me out now no least then 10 agencies envolved and the dog from greenville

i believe it is also happening on west harrison freq 472.25 some days this week so its not just up north

i have to agree with you on who they picked the same as the tmfd and hfd they should lok at sullivan associates out of vallhalla like the tmfd and ardsley didi they are real good

in my dept you have to have 2yrs in before running for officer 2nd lt in theory 2yrs as 2nd then 2yrs as 1st then capt for 2yrs then 10yrs before chief its been said and never settled on whether its 10yrs for asst chief or is it just chief of dept that needs 10 yrs because nobody has gone just to chief without asst first

just wanted to add to the emergency responders only thing nys dot workers are classified as emergency responders now and also use those turns to turn around and plow their routes when its snowing. they can go only so far with the amount of salt they have on before they turn and go for more

the results are in but when you pass then you have too go for the agililty test which no bargin by any means then you get your ranking in the county and local lists there may be i understand alot of people failed just like the last mt. vernon test

ossining got best overall and most men in line and 3 for their band as well as something for ladder41 i believe tarrytown got 1 for eng 80 adsley got best combo for ladder50 montrose got best non requlation uniform i believe and katoah got at least 2 trophys

i just found out that my pro 97 scanner was not recieveing because of a defect with the antenna part of the unit its in for repair aparently around the country they have had prolems with this its still under warranty i hope i will find out
