  1. Wow...... that's all I have to say.
  2. MJ Morning show talks to an extremely emotional Anthony Sullivan. Very sad. http://mj.933flz.com/pages/mainfeed.html?f...article=5668695 RIP.
  3. I actually really enjoyed his work on Pitchmen, it is truly a shame a man so young with alot of potential in his career to be killed so soon. Here is another great Billy Mays video: RIP
  4. I am not entirely sure of the details, excuse my ignorance on the subject, however I believe the state of NJ was "suggesting" departments switch to the b/w color scheme to create a more uniformity in the state. At this point dozens of departments are switching over, while others maintain the all white color scheme. Few deviate from those two primary schemes today, and as time goes on I expect to see more unique color schemes completely phased out in the state save a few hardliner depts.
  5. Wow, if I didn't know any better i would dare say that was a Bronto on a Rosenbaur platform! It is damn near identical minus the base control with convenient seat.
  6. Awesome shots! I too did not know FDNY had squirts at one point. Good deal.
  7. You would think that truck with all the "aerodynamic" upgrades would of simply flown over the train.
  8. We have the same set of warnings in most of NJ as well. Forest fire is out and about. Air support too.
  9. Haha, our Mercury Grand Marqs have upwards of 300,000 miles on them. I would put all my chips on Ford over any GM product. On top of that, our 97 E350/Braun on my squad is still running strong.
  10. Mahwah haha... actually I would say blue is becoming very common in the FD/EMS world in NJ. I for one applaud it as all red is grossly inefficient, especially on highway runs.
  11. Makes plenty of sense, great work and great pics. The amount of resources readily forward deployed is something to be praised.
  12. This was from April correct?
  13. Man I am sure going to miss the smattering of color schemes Newark uses.
  14. Awesome shots, thanks for posting these!
  15. Excellent pics, thanks alot for posting these.
  16. .. Good god. RIP to all those who lost their lives this now very tragic early morning.
  17. My sincerest condolences to the friends and family. Rest In Peace and God bless your service and commitment to the community.
  18. Hahaha, our family had a high top conversion van like for a decade. What a fun vehicle that was. We replaced it with a low top van, basically a supersized SUV. Great for roadtrips! Random question, anyone know what kind of LED light he has?
  19. If they really must insist on going hybrid... They really should explore the Escape.. I feel it could handle the abuse much better than a sedan in this scenario. Those patrols are asked to do alot, and a vehicle with 0 history of patrol operations doesn't have a bright future in the field. Nissan's are decent vehicles, but they are complex and not intended for this kind of severe abuse.
  20. Nice ride, and I too quite like those low-pro chevrons on the back. I always liked the hidden chevrons approach.
  21. Ford made it very clear that that they are Hybrids, seemed to have as many Ford stickers as Lifeguard decals! I also am digging that lovely arjent bar, and the dark rims.
  22. The small EMS BLS field guide I carry has a basic Spanish translation section, luckily haven't had to use it yet, but it is nice to have. I have heard some interesting stories about calls and the language barrier.
  23. Haha yep, and then again, that's exactly what they're there for!
  24. Ah watch our liberties get pissed all over once again! I never buff anymore these days, or do any kind of unique photographing of specialties such as trains. After a run in with the good ol' NJSP at a fire early 2008, I just don't have the urge to do it much anymore. It is truly a shame and disgusting to see where power has taken some people.
