Ive been down in VA Beach for the past week as well. Talked to a couple of guys down there and was pretty impressed with there setup. Another thing i saw which surprised me was while sitting in the house one night i caught show on tv put on by there chief and it gave a summary of all there pass fires and how they attacked them it was pretty cool anyone else ever see this?

I saw a photo of a engine with red and white chevrons and in the center at the bottom it had blue with silver or white starts making it look like a big flag. Ha anyone seen this? I don't remember where i saw the photo.

Nothing runs like a DEERE

I know nothing when it comes to ham radios, but i do know they must be putting out some crazy amounts of power. At my firehouse is New Fairfield,CT we have a scanner with freq from all around the area but every evening around rushhour putnum county is walked all over by these ham guys talking to each other in their cars. You still hear putnum in the background but the ham guys are twice as loud and honestly talk about some weird stuff. Anyone else have this problem or know what could be done about it>?

lets see who is the first local department to get this chassis. looks good but by looking at the photo that front bumper seems really low and if need be curbs could be a problem. I know some hydrants in our town also don't have the best roads providing access.

Great shots of Tank going. Good training tool to show that most of the time you don't know what is inside and how objects when they do let go can fly out of the fire. good job not letting the fire wxtend into house and thankfully someone was not standing in the path when that object did fly out.

we also have a garmin 7000 in tanker 18 for the use of mutual aid calls......we programed all the hydrants in its favorite places folder so when you get to the call location all you have to do is push fav button and will show the nearest hydrant or tank.

I agree 1000%.......No need to get all technical about it. He is a sick in the head(something isn't right up there) I feel sorry and my heart goes out for those who had to witness this and top of all for those who lost their lives.

Could that be it? IT is an older scanner that is for sure. its a uniden 210xlt....yea i know its old. but a great scanner.
