All modern day trusses today suck, they are nothing but firefighter killers! Don't trust any floor or ceiling that has been damaged by fire, they will hurt you.

started off with a welfare check (I think thats what they said, the rest I heard on the radio) but it turned into a brawl with the police officers who called a 10-13 with multiple units responding, Metro North PD also o/s. An amb was called because a police officer suffered facial injuries. The P.O. RMA'd Beacon FD, Beacon Vol Amb & Alamo ALS also assisted.

What color cloths did this person have on, that makes a difference too But lawsuits will happen and the town will end up paying and the officer may never return. Life sucks for everybody involved, you could be next (I hope not, just an expression)

Looks good, good luck with it

What frequency's do you use?

It's odd, that they NYC TV stations had more on there news than the local newspapers on the web sites. Weather may have been a factor.

Rattlesnakes can be found on Mt Beacon & Breakneck mountain ranges. I never thought that either but one day I did a job where a guy got bit by one, I said are you sure it was a rattlesnake? He replied yes it's right here in the bag, I killed it. Then you should have seen the people in St Luke's (this was when pt's were just separated by curtains.) one guy had his pulse going up on the heart monitor.

The last 2 innings I changed my chant from "Lets go Mets" to "Mets are Morons" I think I have a better chance of winning the lottery than the Mets winning the series

The law currently pertains to emergency personnel who operate on federally funded highways. My opinion is any incident where you have people working on the road. The law makes an exception that while firefighters are engaged in fire extinguishing operations they do not need the vest. (Duh, all you need is the plastic melting around your turnout coat) This should have been done a long time ago. How many injuries or deaths would never happened if responders had the extra reflectivity on them. Look at the firefighters in other countries like England, they have used it for years on the fire/police/EMS people and vehicles. Why are we so far advanced in this country in firefighting mythology that only a few departments use it and others don't even try. Hey folks it's 2008, many people have died or have been critically injured for these safety items to be developed. Lets use them, it just may save your life.

Does Nyack still use the air horn to give the area of the alarm? Thats load. Maybe I should complain to Metro North about the trains blowing the horns through the crossing in front of my house at 3 am. I'd bet they would just laugh.

Dutchess 911 is also doing the same project, a few sites have been set up to receive the supplies over the next week, I believe Fairview & a East Fishkill station are involved and I believe a third is also involved but I don't remember who

the jury didn't as long as the journal posted, I think they were out a day or 2. hey had several people on the stand. Once again the excellence of our news service

I agree Raymond Avis stupid, I hope they don't do that with Rt 9 in front of Marist (the other college that gets what they want.) I laugh when Vassar says "we gave them money toward it..." yea 1/8 the cost of the total project! As for the idiots in the speaking out on the Mountain Brook fire, If they think they can do better, come volunteer learn the ropes so THEY can make a difference. I can't see that happening anytime soon

Congrats to you folks, you came a long way in a short time.
