Rombout large brush fire Sharpe Reservation 11/12 & 11/13. 24 departments from Dutchess,Putnam, Orange, and Ulster Counties assisted the Rombout Fire Department in extinguishing the fire 100 acre fire brought under control in about 7 hours

Rombout recieved a new rescue today, 2009 Custom Heavy Rescue featuring a Sutphen chassis and Rescue 1 body

If you see a topic that angers you and you hit reply and start typing in anger before you hit send, read it over is it really worth sending this and causing more problems? Does anyone know of a scanner that can monitor LTR PassPort trunking? I see it is becoming popular and a few agencies in the area are using it.

I got that initialy when I put it in my scanner with a 2 second delay after I changed it to 1 second delay it stopped. 477.275 for Mobil Life. The reception is awsome. I am also interested in hearing DEP because they are doing major work a half mile from my house

I put the main channel in as a conventional frequency and I am able to hear the service that I wanted to hear loud and clear. So for now I am happy. I know I may hear others talking but it's not bothering me yet.

yes lots of places deal with this. Several municipalities around me have adopted rules that companies must register and be placed on a rotating list and be called when needed. Granted you may have to wait a few minutes but it’s worth not going thru the hassle. If a tow is on scene and is needed to clear lanes by discretion of the PO may tell them to take it and they simply get moved to last on the list. This may be a good option for your dept. to explore along with the PD
