It is reasonable to allow the help truck to have a FEW red lights on the truck.........if a car is broken down in a dangerous area there is no need to call the police or fire department However, if they have red lights on them what stops them from flying down the highway for a broken down car that is clearly not going anywhere

Why are all of these moms driving around drunk with their kids in the car Why are they even driving These people need to reconsider weather they should be parents if they are going to put their kids life in danger
-
I like the Aerialscope on a Spartan chassis the FDNY accepted a used ladder????? Why did they transfer the 2000 seagrave to 43 and not just have 43s rig replaced
-
That sounds like a great idea...... it would be great for some of the longer jobs that could exist especially during the summer months when temperatures can get up to 85 without a full set of gear on nickname possibility: snack wagon
-
It does not matter.....there are no laws preventing you from taking pictures of building public or private from a public location...end of story that guy gave you sh!t for no reason......turn the other check its no big deal
-
I really like this rig.....it looks pretty sweet and it looks like it is very well thought out for there needs Where can I get that license plate.....I need one for my car
-
Shame to see it rusting away in that field

K12 is just the model name but, everyone I know calls a circular saw a K saw regardless of brand or model unless they actually know the maker, model and brand

AMAZING is all i have to say and wow...they really went all out on that room....im glad that even kids in wheelchairs and on I.V.'s and such can take time for the #ell they are going thru and have some fun with the fire station room and the truck comes with a fedeal....I wonder if it works
-
they are not so cheap....they are $300 for a non-weather-proof transmiter and twice that for a weather-proof one now multiply that by however many hydrants you have and that is the amount you need....there is no way it is economically worth it for other departments to know where the hydrant is As for finding it.......300 for a non-total-essentail piece of equipment is not that great when the flag could be less then $50
-
Its a good idea to have a GPS on a hydrant but what about the cost of out fitting every hydrant in your district with the unit and then the rigs with a reciever to the hydrants...would be just too expensive What heppens if they GPS breaks then you need to spend the high amount of money to get it fixed Also, what happens when you go out of district....you still wont have a clue where the hydrants are unless you can see them and if crews come in district they wont have a clue where the hydrant is unless they can see it. There has to bve a good, clear and cost effective way to mark a hydrant.......we just need to think of it

your right but damn.........it sounds amazing for the fire fighter from what i read in the little article about it on the pierce site I wonder what it costs for one of these babies here is the link to web article where it talks about it: http://www.piercemfg.com/company/newsstory.cfm?ID=171
-
hahahaha...............ladder and rescue company listings That rig is stocked with sooo much amazing equipment....I wonder how much it costs
-
Thats one HUGE rig I saw it on the Pierce site before The commecial chassis can work.....look at White Plains rigs they look amazing with the ford chassis but whatever you look. This rig however does not look right, the way that the rig is so huge as comapred to the cab. But I do like how they put scene lights on the on the over hang. Also it is just so huge that a commercial chassis does not work.......
-
I cant tell for sure but it looks like they are....if they are not well then that is some nicely designed turnout gear back on topic......im not a fan of mid mount on a quantum...a pumper on a quantum is good but i just dont like the quantum front lets hope they start putting ladders and buckets on some other chassis
-
There are other bus companies that run with white strobes.....Bedford Central School District has buses with white strobes I know because I take the bus to school every day and it annoys me too
