This guy can protest the war all he wants.........after he serves the time that he VOLUNTEERED to do regardless of weather or not i agree with him he should serve his time either in jail or on the lines of iraq with his men if there was no political message inside his protest I would say that he had one set of b@ll$ for protesting his deployment even thought he needs to go

Same....Steward is a little far to be an airport for NYC..........its over an hour away from the city Westchester County airport might be a better choice for a NYC metro airport...........but there are others in NJ like titerboro that could be the 4th as well

I heard some where that its all about public preseption: For example: FFs and POs are seen as risking their lives day in and day out for the public safety and well being...... On the other hand, EMS is over looked as either non-essential, non-dangerous and unworth.... While the first one is right, the second idea is wrong.....EMS do risk their lives The public does not see EMS as risking their lives so it is possible that the public will and does have less respect for EMS.....maybe if the public was better educated about EMS then their would be more support finanically, equipment and personal.

Im sorry if what I said confused you..... What I was trying to say is that it looks like that DES is now reaching a point where they have a proclivity for FF1 w/ FF Survival This is based on the fact that most of the FF1 courses are being offered in tandem with FF survival I think this is a great idea because if you look at the training dates for FF survival it is an extra two days that with out a doubt save your life. I Know when I take FF1 i want to take FF survival with it because it has a high potential of being capable of saving my life and what is an extra two classes really when ones life in on the line

I hope they add different flights on Jet Blue to other locations.......this is good but more would be better

Would NYC go with another commercial chasis other then ford I mean the vast majority of the FDNY EMS fleet is Ford...would they go with another manufacturer would it be smart from a matienece stand-point to go with something other then Ford
-
The County is offering most of the Fire Fighter I courses with FF survival.....maybe it is a change after all FF survival takes an extra 2 classes http://www.westchestergov.com/emergserv/DEStrain/default.htm

Rest in Peace man your job is done just on a side note not to distract from the grief that must be associated with this terrible news but i read that the family was out........how was it possible for such a mis-communication as the family getting out but the fire department was not informed or the fire fighters not informed.....or is it possible due to the fact that i dont know the complete facts and that the he died as soon as or with in a short amount of time from when the fire department entered the house

There is absolutly nothing better when you are go I mean whenever I am on the west coast I always get a double-double with onions and cheese, a milk-shake and 7-up It is always the best and i would not even dare go to another fast food place......or any other resturant for that matter if my parents did not make me

A double-double with cheese how perfect

Its a little late for the no free needle idea: The New York offers both a free needle exchange and a free needle program to prevent the spread of AIDs, HIV, Hep, other blood bourne diseases and other nasty creatures that im sure no one wants But the free condoms are a good idea if the city wants to lower the AIDs rate in the city According to http://www.nyc.gov/html/doh/html/ah/ah.shtml "New York City remains the epicenter of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the U.S. More than 100,000 New Yorkers are living with HIV, but thousands don’t know they’re infected. New York City has the highest AIDS case rate in the country, with more AIDS cases than Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and Washington DC combined. HIV is the 3rd leading cause of death below age 65 in New York City. HIV is also the health problem with the largest racial disparity; 80% of new AIDS diagnoses and deaths are among African Americans and Hispanics. Prevention, testing, and treatment programs are being expanded, but more must be done."

Is it possible that they needed a new resuce and used the other trucks as collateral because they needed the resuce for other vital emergency services that it provided to the community

Look at this fire department in Reading, PA According to the Reading PA website, this department charges the residents for the use of the EMS system and every possible aspect associated with it. "Rate Structure Category Charge Advanced Life Support ALS Level 2 (base rate) $800.00 ALS Level 1 (base rate) $750.00 Mileage $7.00 (per loaded mile) Oxygen $60.00 Cardiac Monitor $95.00 Basic Life Support BLS Emergency (base rate) $600.00 BLS Non-Emergency (base rate) $500.00 Mileage $7.00 (per loaded mile) Oxygen $60.00" http://www.readingpafire.com/emsservice.htm Does any one know of any EMS agency supported by the government charging the residents for the use of their own EMS service? I believe that it is utterly unethical for an agency to charge its users for the use of the that agency especially when that agency is supported by the government. Does any one else feel that this idea is ridiculous charging the users is insane?

Wait......was this guy trying to make the call for a ambulance in another district or his own. If it was his district then he still acted completely recklessly, could have nearly killed his entire family and broke the law, but felt that there was a legitamite reason. If it was not his district then why the hell was he trying to make ambulance in the first place, other then what I stated above there is no reason WHAT SO EVER that he should be responding to another departments call. not even as a member of the emergency service but as a civilian i find this one of the most disturbing things and should NOT be taken lightly at all.
