What could be the reason for this? What other builders make Lo-Pro rigs.
-
It has to do with warranty on the rigs. The warranty on the electrical system of the Seagrave rigs in terms of a federal siren is an issue because the Federal Q draws too much power from the rig thus by installing it they void the warranty. At least that is what I have been told.

Lake George Region is always a good bet for anyone that wants to stay cheap and in New York State. Its beautiful, quite, a certain amount of night-life is always great. My only suggestion is avoid Lake George Village.....for the most part it is always humid, crowded and full of tourist trap type places. Bolton Landing is a good way to go for Lake George feel while avoiding the village. http://www.boltonchamber.com Also.......the Jersey Shore, like Cape May is great for relaxing on a beach somewhere local but sometimes it can be too crowded. I you want to go alittle far out but somewhere very nice is where I am going on vacation in a few days, Yellowstone National Park in Wyonming and Glacier National Park in Montana are amazing.

Giving Cars the Silent Treatment - Car News The Daily Auto Insider Wednesday, March 28, 2007 March 2007 Car companies, including General Motors, Hyundai and Ford, are competing to minimize noise by using new materials, new manufacturing techniques and modifying exterior and interior design, The Wall Street Journal reported. Among the silencing strategies: GM's Buick is using laminated-glass windows on a forthcoming model; Ford makes parts, such as dashboards and engine-oil pans, of a vibration-absorbing metal-plastic composite it calls “quiet steel;†and Hyundai is using electronically adjustable engine mounts and extra-thick, lightweight foam insulation on its new Veracruz sport-utility vehicle to minimize engine noise, the story said. By making cars quieter, automakers hope to attract buyers who generally view a silent interior as a sign of high quality. They haven't succeeded entirely, however. David Green, an automotive product analyst with J.D. Power & Associates, told the WSJ that the research company has seen a 36 percent decrease in wind-noise complaints since 2003 from drivers responding to its initial quality survey, which measures owner satisfaction 90 days after buying a car. In the same period, however, the decrease in wind-noise complaints was 7 percent in the company's longer-term vehicle dependability study, indicating that after three years of ownership wind noise is still present and problematic. http://www.caranddriver.com/carnews/12733/...-treatment.html

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- A medical helicopter with four people on board crashed early Saturday just moments after it took off from a hospital, injuring one of its medical workers, authorities said. The helicopter was taking a traffic accident victim from Quitman County Hospital to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn., said Jonathan Dancy, Quitman County's acting emergency management coordinator. "It had just lifted off and got just above the trees," Dancy said. "The few witnesses who were here said it started rotating around and around and just went down." He said the aircraft crashed about 20 feet from the hospital's helipad. Dancy said the female patient did not suffer any additional injuries in the crash. She was later taken to Memphis by ambulance. One of two medical personnel on board suffered a broken bone but his injuries were "nothing critical," Dancy said. Dancy said was amazing that the pilot and the second medic were not injured. "It looks like a mess," he said of the helicopter. "A lot of it is because they cut the top off it. But when you look at it, you wouldn't believe somebody survived." A Federal Aviation Administration investigator arrived later in the day. Marks is a town of 1,550 in the Mississippi Delta about 60 miles south of Memphis. http://www1.wsvn.com/news/articles/national/MI56527/

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- A firefighter is counting his luck after a red-hot steel rod was fired into his helmet from an exploding vehicle, local media reported Thursday. The steel rod was traveling at such speed it punched a hole through a steel door before hitting 41-year-old Gary Wright's Kevlar fire helmet, The New Zealand Herald said. Wright was getting ready to fight a blaze earlier this month that had engulfed a garage full of vehicles in a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand's biggest city, when the steel rod fired out of an exploding van 62 feet away. "I had only just put my BA (breathing apparatus) set on and put my helmet back on," he said. "I had my head forward and was adjusting the headband on the helmet ... the next minute, whack.... It was a pretty hard whack, it knocked my head back," Wright was quoted as telling the paper. "It felt like someone coming up and giving me a really good clip around my head ... but I had a glance around and no one was there. Then this glowing thing (the rod) attracted my attention at my feet," Wright said. Waitakere City Fire Chief Bill Ellis said the rod went through the outer Kevlar layer of the helmet but had been stopped by a protective inner layer. Wright was left with a headache and some pain on the left side of his head where his helmet strap was pulled back by the force of the rod's impact. "It wasn't until on the way home that I saw the hole (in the helmet) and told the boss," he said. "I think most people think I was pretty lucky," said Wright, an 11-year fire fighting veteran. © 2007 The Associated Press. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/O/ODD...EMPLATE=DEFAULT
