Westchester County Haz-Mat 1 is staffed by volunteer Haz-Mat Techs from all around the county from what I am told It is stationed at the County Fire Training Center in Vahalla It responds only when called There are two other Haz-Mat rigs in the county one in Yonkers and one in Montrose at the VA

They may not teach you alot at Fox Lane but they do teach you how to get into college... Im already in SUNY Stonybrook (which does not have a student VAC), SUNY Brockport (which does), University of Vermont (which does not) and Ursinus (im not sure what they have) and I have 11 more schools to hear back from with varying degrees of a VAC The schools that dont have a VAC have a hospital on campus or a affiliated with hospital near by. Also some schools are right near a hospital but unaffiliated so they have the hospital transport

If the Giants had made some of the first downs it would have been a different score....everyones favorite team would have been 15-1 But if the Pats had made some of their first downs when they should have then this game would also have had a very different outcome. For the record I am Giants fan

I not applying to SLC Im going far away...my schools range as small as Wheaton College in Norton MA at 1200 students to as large as Cornell University in Ithaca NY at 30,000 And as far way as Tulane in New Orleans LA to again Wheaton in Norton MA Where I ever I go I will be either a Biology/ Environmental Science or chemistry major with a definite need for an advanced graduate degree. I know that where ever I end up going to school I will continue my emergency service training and assistance to my school and community

Its 50/50 if a college will transport or not Some do and some dont it depends on if there is a hospital near campus and funds that the squad has I know that almost every school I applied to has a first aid squad of some sort, the ones that dont will have no lobbying to start one if I go there.

Sarah Lawrence is not that bad when you compare it to some of other schools in the country. A SUNY Education is $4,350 for a New York State resident regardless of the schools location or prestige. lets use some of the schools that I am applying to this year to SLC SLC is $35,090 per year Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA is $40,880 per year Lehigh University in Bethleham PA is $46,960 per year University of Rochester in Rochester is $44,980 per year Its not that substatial of a difference (if you dont count the $10,000 difference) However, the last three school mentioned provide and school funded first aid squad that has at least 1 BLS flycar and all of its many members at the EMT-B requirements for its respective state. They take much of the minor call burden off of the paid ALS services. Does any college around here have a program like that?

You are right it is a ladder truck Its technical term is Quint Fire Apparatus as stated above... A "Quint" has a pump and tank like a standard engine but also have the areial of the ladder The term quint means quintessentail fire truck or quintupile combination pumper because it had: 1. Hose 2. Booster Tank 3. Pump 4. Ground Ladders 5. Ground Ladders The quint is a cheap alternative to a dedicated areial and a dedicated pumper because it combines both aspects with varying degrees of effectiveness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quint_(fire_apparatus)

I dont think you earn a living flipping burgers if you drive a Lexus other then that it is absolutly inexcusible for this woman to get off so lightly for maliciously injuring 4 public servents, causing severe damage to a piece of city property and destroying private property.

looks like there is a lot of light that this rig can put out It looks like there are 3 scene lights evenly spaced on both sides of the rig Thats really cool Any reaon why there is that much lite?

What happens when you put the cross lay in the new compartment? That might explain the "more space"
-
How much room does the average mid-mount take up......4 feet or more? say it is more then 4 feet, if you put the pump under the cab you free up the room from the pump for more compartment space and increase the tank lenght you can cut down the lenght of the rig and the height
-
Maybe all of the options are due to the fact that they may be in comparison to a similar sized rig

The reason for more car chases is in the east there are few places where some one can get up to a high speed and go far. On the west Coast, all someone needs to do is get on a big road and they can go fast...we dont have that.

The CSI Effect has a distinct impact on most criminal cases today....most members of the jury expect to see some kind of forensic wonder to help them put away a violent offender. At least that is what Syracuse University textbook said.

Its too bad the Yankees canned him.......not They offered him what was essentially a probation contract and for one of the best managers in baseball thats apparently unacceptable.....the Yankee Brass needs to take a good hard look at itself because it caused this problem. No one other then Torre can manage a team of overpaid misfits with no chemistry.
