Do they advocate violence? No. Has the church or any prominent member of the church been accused of violence? No. Do they speak unfathomable hate? Yes. Do I fundamentally disagree with their speech? Yes. Do they have a right to their speech? Yes. What will labeling this group as a legally recognized do? Absolutely nothing, they will still be able to protest funerals and spew their hate speech. Do I agree with it? No, but god damn it they have a right to speak it and you better believe that they can and will defend their right. We can condemn their speech in the strongest terms but we can not limit their speech no matter how extreme it is. So long as their speech does not violate any law, there is absolutely no choice but to accept the fact that they are entitled to their speech. What you see as "push the 1st amendment to the extreme" I, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States, see as simply exercising their right to 1st amendment speech protection. If you don't like what they say, don't listen but they have not broken any laws and thus you have no right to limit their speech.

According to http://public.fotki.com/lfd171/city-of-yonkers-fir/yonkers--battalion-/ the current trucks are 2010 F-350s.

The commercial transport agency I run with up here only gives 12 leads to AEMTs when they are transporting ALS patients, otherwise all BLS trucks only have an AED. The 911 agency I run with mandates that all certified EMTs be capable of performing a 12 lead and transmit it to the ER successfully by themselves. Since we are a town based EMS service, we can receive funding from the town for 12 leads EKGs to provide a higher level of service then would otherwise be possible solely as a commercial agency.

Will today be the day we finally have the meaningful and worthwhile conversation about firearms in this country? If not today then when? If not the day when our young and innocent lay dead in their seats and in their school then when? Ask yourself this, are your guns really worth the lives of the innocent? Another mass murder was attempted yesterday around the globe in China, ~20 students attacked in their school. How many of them died? The answer is zero. Zero children died yesterday in a school attach in China, you know why? Because the attack in China was committed with a knife, not a gun. For everyone that still thinks guns don't kill people, people kill people ask yourselves why the children in America died but the children in China lived? The answer is guns and firearms. People may attack people, but guns finish the job by killing. So ask yourselves again, are your guns really worth the lives of the innocent?

The answers above regard recreational marijuana what about medical marijuana? My questions are regarding Americans with Disabilities Act and medical marijuana. Could one file a lawsuit against an employer for unlawful dismissal for an employee who was fired for using medical marijuana?

The AEMT course in VT is almost the exact same length as the EMT course (EMT-Bs no longer exist in VT, all NREMTs that were EMT-Bs became EMTs). Approximately 3.5 months no including clinicals.

While your EMT-I is useless in the lower hudson valley, almost anywhere else you go in the state or country you will be able to practice and use you EMT-I skills. Get the National Registry Advanced EMT (NRAEMT) card. This card will let you practice as an AEMT or at a equal level almost anywhere in the country.

I think you should mention that to the department that sold the rig...

I think the game you are referring to is roulette.

This was huge story overseas in the UK and such it has become a huge story here as well. Even though we fought off the british almost 250 years ago, we are still very much infatuated with their culture. Kate Middleton (wife of the second in line to British throne) being in the hospital was a story in the national media before the nurse killed herself.
-
I bet there were some under lying mental health issues however you are approaching this from a very American point of view. The British Monarchy is essentially unassailable in the United Kingdom. It is morally reprehensible to slight the Royal Family in any way. Think about the uproar over the Kate Middleton topless photos which were taken in plain sight, now imagine if those photos had come from inside her house. What you need to remember is that the Royal Family is the Kennedys, Kardashians and every American president and their families all rolled into one nice little family unit. And as the good captain said, imagine you had just disrespected and betrayed the future leader and figurehead of your country due to a simple, avoidable mistake.

For those of us without access to LOHUD, which districts are these?

I dig it. How many services in the Hudson Valley have the ability to perform an EKG in the field without a medic present. Protocols in VT EMS District 3 allow for even EMT-Bs to perform an EKG on the road and transmit the results to medical control. Although I have no skills beyond the B level to mitigate a STEMI, stroke or cardiac incident, the sheer fact that I can identify it in the field without needing advanced assistance is a great asset to my patients. It allows me to raise an alert with med control such that by the time I get to the ER, all I have to do is give a report to the radio room/RNs, hand off the pt and up they go to the cath lab or into surgery. Not to bad for two basics in a beat up old ford van in the woods if you ask me...

I have requested family members ride in the box with me. Usually these are the parents of my child pt along to provide comfort for the child or the ridealong is adult care giver for an elderly pt that has difficulty communicating. Often times I will ask the adult care provider to interpret the pts responses since I do not always understand the muttering, slurring and stammering of an elderly pt much like their care provider does. Regardless of who is in the back with me, parent or care giver, company policy dictates that we make the ridealong sign a waiver indicating they will wear their seatbelt at all times until we arrive at our destination and that ultimately they will defer to company policy and crew instructions prior to departure from our location.
-
And that is why every agency needs to have a seat belt policy for its members, pts and ride alongs as well as liability release forms for ridealongs.

Fire occurred in Bangladesh, not India. Company involved in the fire manufactures clothing for Walmart. Remember that the next time you save a few pennies....

I don't have any real input but to remind you of this. In the years you have been on this board, I have read several of your comparisons and complaints about your department, if you find yourself in real leadership role with energy, power and motivation to change the way your department conducts operations, you may finally be in position to make the positive changes in your department you want to see. Maybe buy that thermal imaging camera, sign some M/A pacts with surrounding departments, maybe get some dual dispatch locations. This might be a chance for you to turn your department into the department of the future, not the department of your past.

5.11 hands down. Worth the $60 to get the ones with the knee pads.

You guys must be crazy if you think that twinkies or any other Hostess Brand product is going anywhere. Someone is going to buy the manufacturing and marketing rights and make sure that we all have plenty of twinkies when the zombies come looking for brains.
