Heath Ledgers death just added to the hype, plain and simple, I will not speculate as to what the tangible impact of his death will have on the gross earnings of this film.
-
I am sorry that you took offense, but we are allowed to speculate and yes they are very similar to Yeshiva's everywhere, the ones in our region are mostly filed with relatives no matter how distant that are closely knit. Iknow they are everywhere, I have family that have lived in yeshivas in upstate New York. They live together, work together, pray together and exist together usually along family lines. It does not matter if they do or do not have there own PD, FD or EMS, they can be compared to Oniontown.

Yeah, all $81,000 worth according to the article

Update on this fire, the teens who set the fire are being charged in family court: http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...EWS03/807180415

They already have robots that fight fires: http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/ro...cs/4235629.html

Oniontown in Dutchess seems like it could be similar to the yeshivas in Northern Westchester

No one in their right mind can deny that this movie would not be getting at least some of the hype that it already has if Heath Ledger had not passed away so suddenly.

Why does PVAC have your mini attack? What do they need a pumper for?

Quick, unrelated question but why is the Utility 41 considered a utility instead of a rescue. It has tools for life support, extrication and EMS as outlined by DES.
-
According to http://public.fotki.com/lfd171/westchester...hester_-_other/ it is the former utility 3

GREAT SAVE BY STAMFORD EMS......100% chance of mortality turned to 1%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is wow. Please tell me that this treatment is being strongly considered in Westchester.

According to one article, "...509 active players who were randomly selected from the 1996-97 rosters. Of them, 109 players (a staggering 21%) had been arrested or indicted, a combined 264 times more then the general public, for crimes more serious than minor misdemeanours. The charges included two for homicide, four for kidnapping, seven for rape, forty-two for assault or aggravated assault, and forty-five for domestic violence." http://www.thecommentary.ca/archives/20030925K.html Apparently, in-order to be in the NFL you need to be a criminal. The gang sign thing is a waste of time, it has happened before and in other sports.

No word on why the chase happened but here is an article about the chase: http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...EWS02/807160421

It turns out that the fire was caused by teenagers who were playing with matches in the playground. http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...EWS03/807160416

What does this mean for E-One?

I agree, the true Dr. Jack Kevorkian was a man way before his time but that still does not take away from the fact that he is a criminal being that he commited second degree murder. All those things considered, I would not want to go to a doctor with that name unless I was 100% there was no relation. By the way, the Dr. Jack Kevorkian that we think of when we think of assisted suicide was actually a pathologist and had his medical lisence revoked in 1991, only a year after he started conducting doctor assisted suicides. He conducted over 100 doctor assisted suicides after he lisence was revoked.

Is this the first run for the new Engine 170 Link to IA: http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=26523

It was too close to tell, on the replay it looked like he was safe but the umpires do not have the luxury of using instant replay, they must use their best judgement and the judgement of their fellow umpires when making a call like that. In the heat of the moment we miss somethings and so do they. I do not think it has anything to do with their "wild gestures" and more to do with the fact that they are human and can make mistakes.

I saw this article too That really sucks for him. I can not really imagine a worse way for someone to start their first day of work. At least he was not in the car when it happened and they got the guy who did it. Im sure that the perp is not to bright considering that he crashed into a tree and a parked police car while "high" on drugs.

That was an amazing game, we were talking about the game during the Live chat yesterday. The winning run was a close play, if the runner was a little slower, the ball hit a few feet closer in or the catcher a few inches to the left and the game would have gone on even longer.
-
In a chase like this, could'nt the police or whoever close down the Tappen Zee bridge and isolate the car involved to Westchester?
-
That looks like one hell of a crash!!! How did the driver manage that one? Where was the gas leak, from the pictures you can see the utility meter about 7-10 feet from the truck, was the gas right where the truck hit? Also, it may just be me, but it looks like the truck went through the concrete foundation?

Still some bugs that need to be worked out but it was a lot of fun and it was very informative and I learned alot.
