I agree, the website is really easy to use and that tanker is magnificent.

I have seem more than a few of these kind of trucks with lightbars that far back. I think I might have something to do with visibility and the light bar but I do not know as I have not seen these in person nor do I know everything about the Kodiak line.

I guess that explains at least a part of this situation. BTW, the photo in the article looks like the exact photo that someone took for EMTbravo only the picture in the article has been cropped.

As far as the chassis is concerned (GMC Kodiak). Does anyone know the pros/cons of using a Kodiak and other than Brewsters new source truck and what looks like Harrisons ambulances, has one used/bought the Kodiak for emergency services and what did you think.

I find it hard to believe that news 12 is just learning of this shady/sketchy "transaction". Great job on their part (insert sarcasm here). There is no reason why the firefighters in Mount Vernon should be denied the equipment (man-power is a whole other story) to do their job. Sure the rescue was being replaced and was worn down, but I am sure it could be used for something or at least sold and have the money actually be used for something. I guess the good news is at least someone is watching the city either in it or regarding what it does and making sure that there is no wrong doing.

Was this in Port Chester, I know that it says Port Chester/Greenwich but it is not clear which location it was actually in.

Due to the profileration of on-line news media, the newpaper business is in avery deep slump. That is why many publications like The New York Times raised the price of its paper and why they are making the page the news is printed on smaller. It would appear that the Gannett Group is seeking to increase its reader-base by publishing "spun" articles. Regarding the paragraph size, I was always told by my teachers that in a newspaper article, you make the paragraph only a few sentences long so people do not become lost in a sea of words and the point that you are trying to convay comes out.

So...whats the answer?

It is possible that one of the Federal Q's is an electronic siren with the recessed mechanical siren, or it could be as simple as the rig has to mechanical sirens like that pumper from that was floating around somewhere with 2 mechanical and 2 electric Q sirens.

What make/model TIC did Mt. Vernon receive? Where will the TIC's be assigned? What rigs had TIC's on them prior to this donation?

Gore does not want any part of the shambles that this country has come to under Bush. We went from a $236 Billion surplus to a $4 TRILLION national debt. I do not blame him either.

A little bit off topic but a little hypothetical situation, what are some of the issues that could be faced if a firefighter/EMT has a car marked identifying them as such, but is not driving that car, a different family member is who is not a FF/EMT is driving that car. If a situation that requires a FF/EMT arrises, are there any liability or other issues in this situation?
