  1. Oh ok...thanks, maybe I will see it around town one of these days before I leave for school.
  2. Where/who is this car assigned to?
  3. I did take the other pictures, however that was before I learned that other better pictures would be posted here a short time latter.
  4. I searched this forum and but I can not find what Turbo Draft is. So, I ask, what is turbo draft?
  5. I am curious to know about how the agency/dealer/manufacturer relationship that Yonkers has/had with American LaFrance while they are restructuring. What was the experience like?
  6. According to what was posted here earlier, it is going to get the bell from the engine that it is replacing.
  7. Now thats purrrrrrddddyyyy. I really like the look of your new engine. The white with the red looks nice.
  8. I don't know which is nicer, the new WEMS car or the Transcar car. I like the look or this truck. Who made the light bar? It does not look like one I have ever seen before.
  9. Found this article on lohud.com: http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...EWS02/808190405
  10. FDNY Rescue Companies have 2002 E-One/Saulsburys with the exception of Rescue 1's 2007 Pierce Arrow XT
  11. Here are some pictures I got tonight of a new Westchester EMS ALS Fly Car. Sorry for the poor quality and lighting, it was late and I took them in a hurry. It looks like it is a 2008 Ford Expedition and it is labeled 4011. I like the rear chevrons, especially in the Westchester EMS blue as well as the back-up camera and what looked like a rotating scene light in-front of the lightbar. Is this unit for the 45-Medics?
  12. The facility across from Bedford Correctional is Taconic Correctional
  13. I saw it today on Hamilton Ave in White Plains....sharp looking thats for sure.
  14. I see, I only say that it could have been the bomb squad because the bomb squad quarters is on my way to the West Village from GCT and even when I go with friends to that area they all think that it is some ESU truck, even friends of mine who belong to this board.
  15. I will try to get some more, better shots tomorrow if it is at quarters in Mt. Kisco or if I see it any where else.
  16. 4Guys out of PA has made a few rigs that are very similar to the Crimson Dakota: http://www.4guysfire.com/coplef2588archive.asp http://www.4guysfire.com/masonvalleyf2538.asp
  17. What he saw was most likely one of the NYPDs Emergency Support Vehicles or the Bomb Squad.
  18. Does anyone have the total number for LACoFD apparatus from engines to ladders, rescues to brush units, trailers to squads, chief cars to staff cars and anything in between as compared to FDNY?
  19. I saw an ambulance on 172 yesterday with the new Hudson Valley Paramedics paint job. Sharp looking ambulance and paint job.
  20. I read in one of the recent fire apparatus publications sitting around at the fire house that un-painted roll-up doors were not encouraged to be used if there is going to be a reflective strip anywhere on it. This is because according to the author of the article, it is difficult to see the reflective strip when its dark outside because the grey of the un-painted door masks the reflection of the strip. I will try to get the full article, author and publication when I get to the fire house.
  21. The website is not nearly as good as www.fdnytrucks.com. I think that is the end all be all when it comes to large city apparatus buff sites.
  22. This is based on what I have learned from this site and other information, if by in addition you mean part of the same program of hospitals as Castle Point then yes they are but the Castle Point Veterans Affairs Hospital is in Dutchess and the Montrose Veterans Affairs Hospital is in Westchester. But they are all Veterans Affairs apparatus. Texastorm, from what I have been told, there primary response area is their assigned VA Hospital and campus but from what I understand and what has been brought up on this site is they will go mutual aid in certain situations. In Westchester, the International Midi-pumper will respond as RIT and HazMat 33 will respond to HazMat situations but again, their primary response area and responsibility is the VA.
  23. Did all of the VA's get the same HazMat/Decon rig? The one at Montrose and this one look ALMOST identical.
  24. Here is a link to thread I was talking about: http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopi...d+command+board As for your question x129k... I have no idea
